Saudi authorities uncover ‘terrorist’ plots, arrest militants, seize explosives
Saudi Arabia’s news agency says authorities have uncovered “terrorist” cells plotting attacks against Saudi police and civilians in Riyadh, the capital.
The Saudi Press Agency quotes an unidentified Interior Ministry official as saying that six Yemenis have been arrested after they prepared explosives and experimented with them outside Riyadh. Explosives were seized, the report says.
The official referred to the suspected terrorists as belonging “deviant group,” a common Saudi description of al-Qaida.
“The terrorist cell in Riyadh promoted the deviant Takfiri thought,” the statement said, in reference to an al-Qaida-like extremist ideology.
The Sunday report said they were connected to “suspected elements” inside and outside the kingdom.
Saudi Arabia has been cracking down on Islamic militants since al-Qaida launched a wave of attacks in the country in 2003, killing dozens.

It is starting to rumble in the kingdom. Pipelines of several hundreds of miles through the desert are so easy to sabotage.

Wait a minute, I thought Al-Cia-da was anti-west, but pro-Arab? So why would they attack there buddies in S.A.? Sure is handy to have a go-to-‘terrorist’ group you can blame things on no matter who or where you are…

Saudi Arabia is the worlds ultimate kleptocracy. If you are born into the right family you are guaranteed unlimited wealth, otherwise you are a labourer or in indentured slave from another country. If ever a country needed a revolution and its ruling class be butchered – this is it. I will not weep. They could have done so much with their wealth to help their own people, instead they squander it on yachts and expensive cars and toys and in the casinos of Europe and on its prostitutes. All power to whatever rovolution is brewing.
