Peak oil takes an unexpected turn

Peak oil takes an unexpected turn thumbnail

No less authority than the United States government itself has declared that some time this year, the country should reach a landmark not seen in nearly two decades – indeed, one that many experts believed had been permanently consigned to the history books. The U.S. will be producing more oil than it is importing.

US oil production peaked in 1970, nothing has changed.

RoFL! The US is nowhere near to that. Journalists are either grossly incompetent or willful liars.

It has arrived, the price of oil is too high for its utility. Solar and wind energy are driving down the price of electricity in Germany, the same will happen in other places soon enough. What part of “NO FUEL COST” do you not understand. The market will find a way once the price is right.

Anthony, electricity does not move the world. The stuff you eat, wear, and otherwise use is shipped by truck, freighter, or plane and all of those require oil. Not to mention the raw materials for ALL of those ‘renewables’.
