Look Ma: No Water! Non-Hydraulic Fracking Extends Energy Revolution

New methods of fracturing deep source rock promise to change the face of the tight oil & gas energy revolution. Eliminating the need to use water should minimise concerns about earthquakes and water contamination.

Originally developed for shale oil extraction in geographic areas that were far too cold to use water due to freezing, Non-Hydraulic Extraction has recently emerged to be asserted as a cheaper and more effective extraction method that does not affect groundwater at all.

Chimera Energy Corp has put in place their procedure for engineering this new method for mass production, patenting, licensing and sales. For a description of how Non-Hydraulic Extraction works, high-speed broadband users may visit

More from Russ Steele:

A planned shale gas drilling project in New York state has drawn global attention for its aim to make use of a waterless form of hydraulic fracking – a new technique designed to reduce the pollution associated with controversial natural gas drilling processes.

According to an industry report, the project is focused on using a technology that pumps a thick gel made from propane into the ground as opposed to using traditional methods of hydraulic fracking that make use of a mixture of water, sand, and chemicals to extract natural gas reserves from deep shale formations. Unlike traditional technologies, the gel from the new liquefied propane gas (LPG) fracking method reverts to vapor while still underground, and as a result returns to the surface in a recoverable form. _Russ Steele

As technological innovation discovers better ways to discover and recover new energy supplies, we will always be confronted with new problems and new objections.

But the answer to obstacles is not to lie down and whine, as faux environmentalists are wont to do. Rather the answer is to get busy and devise solutions and viable work-arounds.

This Al Fin tard again…who posts this guys junk? I mean the ignorance on display here is ….staggering. Water is not whats causing pollution from fraking, water is being wasted yes, and polluted, but water itself isnt the problem! Its the toxic mystery stew of chemicals, ie benzine, diesel fuel! and who knows what else being pumped down there. And here this idiot cheers on using what..propane+? to frak with. How that is supposed to be an improvement over the diesel and benzine there pumping in now isnt made clear. Im sure these guys stew of mystery chemicals will also be ‘proprietary’ as well, meaning the public still wont know whats going on, and scientists and even the govt down there wont be allowed to verify any of it alleged ‘benefits’

… but we will get to heat our houses, and drive our Chevrolet Tahoe’s, for a couple more years …

We have a perfectly good workaround: it’s called SOLAR!

Does this mean that EVERYONE’s kitchen tap can be used to heat their homes this winter, not just a few? What keeps this propane out of the water wells?

Is this just another sucker idea to lore in more stupid investors that already got their butts kicked with the natural gas glut? lol

BillT, get the picture here. If there isn’t water in the mix, then it won’t pollute the water. Bullshit! You’re right, open the “C” dial and fill your sink with combustible. Great for cleansing the oil from your pores. Guaranteed to end acne. (flame required)

It does sound kinda like a scam. You still gotta pump a bunch of poison down the well…. raise the pressure….. bust the rocks… so you can still poison the groundwater, just now the water is poisoned with the propane, and the oil you were trying to get … so whats the difference.

Switch to wind and solar. They are safe, clean and environmentally friendly.

Dramatic stunts for the camera aside and all fictitious images of the method holding the key to an abundant energy future held at bay for a moment, it becomes apparent this is the future: endless fossil fuels from technological breakthrough.

They were going to be endless anyway because of the seemingly enless supplies of deep-oil, below 16,000 feet.

Solar is an alternative that should be applied whenever it is cost effective. It is not ready to be a central or main grid supplier. In fact, it is better suited to small scale applications. Anyone in favor of solar should have already made the switch. Government subsidies necessary to make it economical have never been more generous.

I agree with Kenz300. You should make the switch to wind or solar because they are safe, clean and environmentally friendly, although a neighborhood full of windmills or solar panels wouldnt be so nice.
