Russia: Putin assigned to stimulate the production of biofuel

President of Russia Vladimir Putin charged the Minister of Agriculture Alexey Gordeev to work out the question of stimulation of biofuel production in Russia.

“It is necessary to provide conditions for business on establishing facilities for the production of bioethanol”,- said Putin.
“The alternative energetics is developing actively and so that the prices go up”, – stated President. At that, according to him, it is possible to count “on fingers” countries which can offer the necessary volume of corn for this fuel and ”among them is Russia”.

A. Gordeev specified in return, that in Europe the demand on Russian raw material for a biofuel grows. Under evaluation of Minister, the European countries should plant approximately one third of all agricultural acreage under biomass to provide the necessary volume of biofuel.
