A very clever animated documentary from Incubate Pictures, that lays out the challenges to “business as usual” that society faces over the next century. The decisions that we make within the next 50 years will seal the fate of the human race.
This movie was an enormous undertaking, and the authors should be congratulated for their effort to bring these issues to the attention of the public. The author speaks about the video here:

This should have been the argument for 50 years ago not 50 years into the future….

Saw this maybe a year ago – quite good, as is most of the stuff that the PCI puts out. The narrator’s almost ‘little girl’ voice may give it added attractiveness to some as it takes some of the edge off the dire message.

Personally I think we’ve been making decisions that are determining the future of the human race for a long time. In my little world, I compare our situation to the Titanic. The lowest decks are dying while the upper decks are still discussing whether the ship will sink or not. My “discussing” stopped some time ago. I just watch the water rising.

should read… “The decisions that we made in the last 50 years have already sealed the fate of the human race and most of the life we share the planet with.”
I’ll watch the vid this evening. Gotta walk to the market for some eggs and veggies.

Just slightly off topic – can anyone give me a title for an animated video I can’t find on YouTube : Hero shoots 2 snakes, wears them as boots then converts the entire planet to garbage.

Let’s speed up the transition to wind, solar, wave energy, geothermal and second generation biofuels made from algae, cellulose and waste.
The cost of oil, coal and nuclear keep rising and causing environmental damage.
The cost of wind and solar keeps dropping and are safe and clean.
Climate change is real — time to speed up the transition to alternative energy sources.
