As of Thursday, April 13, 2017, India’s population, based on the latest United Nations estimates, was 1,339,040,095, only some 47 million more than China’s total population on that day. The UN estimate (Worldometers) records India’s population as 17.86 per cent of the total world population as against China’s 18.47 per cent. In 2016, India’s population grew by 1.20 per cent, compared to China’s 0.54 per cent despite the latter’s lately liberalised two-child-per-family population policy. Demographers have forecast that India may overtake China’s population as early as in 2022, that is five years from now.

Currently, China ranks No.1 in the list of countries (and dependencies) by population. India is No. 2. At the time of India’s Independence in 1947, the country’s population was only around 330 million. It went up to 520 million in 1968, said a report in an External Affairs Ministry publication, that year. Indira Gandhi was India’s Prime Minister, then. The population growth rate was always politically sensitive, and Mrs Gandhi avoided its official reference, until her younger son, Sanjay Gandhi, made it a part of his five-point programme during the national emergency period and started a vigorous birth-control campaign through ‘forced’ sterilisation that was said to be partly responsible for the Congress party’s crushing defeat in the post-emergency 1977 Lok Sabha election. Ever since, every government went for ‘self-control for birth control’ policy until BJP’s newly-elected Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced a few weeks ago a new rigorous-looking population control policy — first time by any state in this country — for Assam which has been witnessing a big population explosion due to high birth rate as well as constant illegal immigration from bordering Bangladesh.

The population growth alone would not have been a major concern for India if it did not go apace with the growth of poverty, lack of nutrition and social security. Despite its massive middle-class population at around 300-350 million today, India is home to the world’s largest number of poor, nearing some 400 million, or more than the country’s total population at the time of Independence. India’s high GDP growth rate has created a large middle-class. However, the actual number of its poor, famished, undernourished, underpaid, part-time employed and jobless has also been going up, instead of declining. For its geographical size, India is already the world’s most populous country. For instance, the population density in India is 452 per Sq. Km. The country’s total land area is 2,972,892 Km2, less than a third of China’s total land area of 9,390,784 Km2. The population density in China is 148 per Sq. Km. One may say that India still has a manageable urban population rate of 32.8 per cent compared to China’s 59.1 per cent. But, India’s urban population rate is unlikely to remain at the current level as more and more rural poor, especially the youth, are moving towards urban fringes looking for jobs as agriculture is unable to feed the increasing number of rural population. The median age in India is 26.9 years compared to China’s 37.3 years although the lower median age may not always be to the advantage of a country offering fewer job opportunities in the absence of enough technically educated and skilled workforce. India’s demographics are mind-boggling. The country will have 900 million people of working age by 2020. The demographic boom shouldering a massive young population aspiring for jobs and manageable livelihood could make or break India. In dollar terms, India’s GDP ranks the ninth in the world, below many smaller countries, whereas China ranks the second, after the USA. India has a long way to go to raise its GDP, find millions of new life-supporting jobs for the youth and help its large population of debt-ridden marginal farmers by making their farming viable. The massive population surge in the country’s both urban and rural areas, alongside the growth of the actual number of the poor, pose the biggest challenge to its social and economic development. Unfortunately, India’s steady annual GDP growth has not percolated down beyond a level. That explains why India’s ranking on the global Human Development Index (HDI) is rising so slowly. The annual edition of the Global Human Development report by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) shows through India’s slow pace progress. From 2009 to 2014, the country moved only six positions up in the HDI ranking. India stands well below the average score of 0.630 for countries in the medium human development group.

At its 131st place in the 2016 Index, India stood lower than countries like Namibia, Guatemala, Tajikistan, and even Iraq. China ranked 90th. Although it may not speak too well for China, the world’s second-largest economy, but the country, with its population under control, is poised to do better in the coming years as its economy is still largely industry and manufacturing based. Conversely, India seems to be moving away from industry-cum-manufacturing based growth that encourages and enlarges quality of employment and offers better job opportunities.

The country is becoming increasingly dependent on foreign investment, trade, and services. It is fast losing control over the economic growth direction and dimension. India, at its current level of economic growth, is leaning heavily on the less reliable services sector, import distribution, etc, offering mostly low quality, part-time employment as more and more young people are entering the restricted job market. It is rather scary to think that India of 2022 and beyond is in control of neither its population nor its economic growth agenda.

AFDF, you only fail if you don’t try. Most succeed. Maybe not in Western countries but in the Asian East, living off the land is normal for most here. You don’t need what Westerners call ‘necessities’. Electric, tech, debt. Necessities are: food, water, shelter and some way to cover yourself. If that takes all the hours from sun up to sun set, so be it.

We have started our farm here on the Pacific side of the Philippines and are working to make it self sustaining. It’s looking good. Fruit and nut trees are 4-5 years old. Pineapple, banana, taro, yams, etc. are the normal crops. The free range chickens are multiplying. Permaculture is our method.

BTW: I would NEVER try to tell someone what they should do. I would advise them and then let them make their own decision. I am not egocentric or a know-it-all. I made my decision based on MY experience and intelligence and, after 9 years, do not regret it. I look forward to the challenges ahead. They will be so much easier than the 9-5 rat race most call ‘normal’ and which I escaped from after 45 years of labor for ‘the man’.

This idealistic young college grad back in 1985 was sold on globalism and sustainable development. Climate change and limits to modernism were a distant worry then. Today I feel with years of daily in-depth study it is too late. A die down is the only way forward. This will be a process and it could be quick or longer term but it is necessary and inevitable. What we can do and won’t is acknowledge this and construct a social narrative of hospices and lifeboats. This social narrative would simply be about embracing an end to affluence and accommodate increasing death from all sources. It would be about downsizing modernism for increase sustainability and resilience on a gradient of collapse.

Fake greens and humanists want to have cake and eat it. That is what humans will buy into. Money for nothing and tricks for free. The greed and psychopathy built into market based capitalism and hijacked liberal democracy is about individual growth within nationalistic success. Academia and scientist are sold out to fake social narrative of manifest destiny. They may acknowledge the science until it gets to the part of the collapse process then for reasons of relevance they start talking a continuation of the status quo by other means.

This is about a Ponzi civilization reaching the point where a Ponzi fails. When you no longer are sustainable you are a Ponzi. It is about a house of cards of building arrangements with no future and a built out arrangement with no future. It is about a failed social narrative divorced from ecological reality. It is most of all about an evolutionary dead end species because of a large brain uncheck by wisdom to say no. Fantasy and dreams rule and they have destroyed us.

Techno optimism and development are by nature limited and fully governed by diminishing returns. At some point we over develop and become unnaturally techno. At some point we lose our human nature. At some point we fill all available spaces with humans naturally motivated to survive and live comfortable lives. This is self-organizing and adaptive meaning it can no longer be managed through a status quo narrative. It can only be managed by a revolutionary change to our underlying human story but life has become too complex and mechanized for this type of change.

We are getting very close to a threshold. It is a zone of inflection where reality shifts. It is a place where minimums are reached that bring down complex civilizations. We can argue overpopulation and the flip side that is a population in excessive affluence. Both arguments are part of the same denial of what science is telling us. We are not in harmony with nature and with too many people and many living beyond proper means. We are now in a failing planetary ecosystem and climate.

In such a case the best that can be done is the individual can yield to this self-organizing and adaptive planetary tragedy. The individual can eke out a local that embraces the wisdom of life. This recommendation is not claiming an absolute spiritual reality of the right way. This recommendation is about finding a place and a wisdom that is in harmony with nature to allow meaning and truth to be discovered. Human civilizations do not need to reinvent spirituality and religion. What is needed is a proper way of life to allow meaning and wisdom where our individual spirituality can inhabit. This is about existentialism and its remolding.

There are limits to the individual and free will and these can be embraced not forced. The forcing will be from collapse of a planetary ecosystem and a failing civilization. The embracing is from the individual and from within. It is about collapsing in place and downsizing with dignity. It is about relative sacrifice within a status quo that is about growth and development. It is about leveraging the status quo to find an alternative reality. This is a paradox because you will be living one way to live another. It takes a very strong mental character and by no means is success assured. The success is found in the process not the result. It is about a pathway to embrace a way towards truth instead of a false reality of a way that is a proven failure. It is not that the status quo is not reality but that its ideal is false. The status quo is what it is. It is a human expression. It is who and what we are. It is clearly a failure and clearly needs to be checked by wisdom. Since wisdom is no longer possible at the civilization level it must be found by the individual and the local. It is no longer possible for civilization to adapt and change. It is a complex ecosystem and all niches filled. The niches that are still open are in your heart. Go there and find meaning.

The big difference between Davy and me is that in my view it is not completely hopeless, at least not for the West, and that we should prepare for the possibility that total collapse is not going to happen. I’m not so convinced that there is much difference in “reproductive capacity” between races. In my youth in the sixties in Holland, four child families were the norm. The word “baby boomer” says it all. Meanwhile white birth rates have collapsed (and so did Japanese).

Main reasons:

– birth control, completely decoupling sport and production sex
– feminism en gender equality ideology
– pessimistic views regarding the future
– materialism and hedonism and individualism

Sex has become a consumer product without consequences. Children are seen as “accidents”.

Women no longer need men for survival and have a career option and postponing child birth is the new norm. When they are 38 and get “gate closure panic”, it is usually too late. Women are taught they are equal to men and can have it all.

Due to the “Report of the the club of Rome” and similar reports and documentaries, most people in the West have a (closet) pessimistic outlook on life and the future. “In what kind of world am I going to put my children?” is a common consideration and a put-off.

Raising a child according to western standards can easily cost $200k. That’s a lot of hours in the cubicle. That’s not a big stimulus to raise 3 or more children.

Marriage laws are completely biased against men. The woman initiates divorce in 80% of the cases for this very reason with negative financial consequences for the man. Many young men know this meanwhile (from their parents) and refuse to marry.

All in all, if white people and their magnificent culture has a chance to survive at all, liberal modernity and almost all its assumptions, brought to us by the post-war US, ruled by its globalist Anglo-Zionist elite (responsible for the war in the first place), needs to be completely destroyed. Quite rightly the survivors of ww2 looked at poverty and correctly identified population and investment as the killers of poverty, so they got to work, they brought in mass abortion and mass welfare. The result was growing demand and growing demand for labour. The solution was and remains mass migration to compensate for all the missing white poor humans that were aborted. So armies of happy brown people now come in to take over a system created by those now aging and dying but not replacing themselves.
