The sad realization is that one would probably act in the end according to the same line as neocons. You can't openly tell people that the energy opulent years are over and somehow steer the tide.

To stage false flags like 9/11, start bully wars like in Iraq and beyond with some final goal of launching depopulation bioweapon at the right time is a perfectly rational and logical way to go..

Unfortunately it works great only from the viewpoint of the superelite, life is tough..

It struck me recently, when the CIA whistleblower Ray MacGovern described his conversation with some high ranking active duty officer. It went along the lines, "..Mr. MacGovern don't be so naive, the miniscule daily toll of the american lifes per day in Iraq makes perfect cost benefit analysis in the end.."

We can have peace as long as no nation covet's some other nation's terroritory or resources.

Think about what your dealing with here. People. Think about pple for a minnute.

Pple as a whole are prone to emotions that allow them to justify anything from simple theft to all out war. Wether we deserve it in our mind or we just become flush with jealousy, pride, greed, or anger, we will take what we need and others cant defend. We will kill those that can defend it and cant kill us first. Arn't pple great animals?

So inother words what Roger is saying is 'we can not have peace period.' Well put Roger, I agree totally.

Then we can print more greenbacks, buy more oil, "grow" our economy, etc.

It's a beautiful system, too bad the deficit-correction is going to throw the globe into a depression...

It´s a beautiful theory. The whole point of the american war machine is military theatre to shock and awe enemies into submission. It only works in conventional war and nobody but Saddam is dumb enough to engage in that. There is a reason Pentagon is so reluctant in using this tool because unless it´s a conventional war it only reinforces the image of the american paper tiger.

The system of a US policman watching the wests back was perfect from WW2 up to recently because there was another great power trying to control everyone else using the same conventional arms. But as of now it´s not in anyone else interest and thus the system you mention is confronted with reality checks which it is continually failing. Blustering about nuking this and that nation is just another way to say that you are out of options and even more of an irrelevant argument when it just ensures your own destruction.

In a nutshell the world has no use of the post-WW2 system any more and is taking back power. The US continues to threaten with the stick but no one cares because the other school yard bully put his down and thus we don´t need to pay part of our allowance to keep him happy and the other bully away.
