Most of you probably think ACDC are American. They are not.
Bon Scott died 19th Febuary 1980. So did the real ACDC.
Here's to 30 years of Bon's ghost.

Give us a little credit man!

Rock N Roll fans know AC/DC is from Oz.

I once paid the unthinkable (at the time) price of $50 for a great seat to see them in concert on the Who Made Who tour. I was too young to see them when Bon Scott was still around. But I definitely had all of their records.

Prohpetic? I don't know but certainly it's a worthy hypothesis.

I always thought these lyrics referred to the hard partying rock n roll band lifestyle. Booze, drugs, groupies, and world tours.

I think many people knew we were on an unsustainable path even in the '70's. They just didn't get a lot of publicity or traction, other than being called loons, nutjobs, kooks, and whatever term the defenders of the dominant paradigm used back then.

Even some of our members here are among that select group of 'early adopters'.

Us young-in's took a little longer to get on board the doom train, that's all!

:)

Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too
I'm on the highway to hell
No stop signs, speed limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me round
Hey Satan, payed my dues
Playing in a rocking band
Hey Momma, look at me
I'm on my way to the promised land
I'm on the highway to hell
(Don't stop me)
And I'm going down, all the way down
I'm on the highway to hell

I thought it was going to be the interview where he talks about WW III, but then I think that may have been Angus.

Hell ain't a bad place to be!

I remember thinking they were from Scotland up until about the time that Bon died. My friends and I in elementary school would "perform" the whole "Let there be Rock" album

If you sit and listen to everything Bon Scott recorded then listen to post Bon ACDC it's hard on the ears.

Probably my fave clip ever is this one where they are on the back of a truck in Melbourne with backup bagpipers: Bon at his best.

I imagine if this event was reconstructed Melbourne would be shut down completely.
