Who said anything about conquest? We have not been able to achieve that in decades.
Your thinking on the matter is wrong, it's TV thinking. The US military
contractors have achieved conquest in every single war fought, and that is all that matters for USA
incThe stated reasons for war, democracy, liberation, Weapons of mass destruction, they are all just convenient lies to justify the expense of taxpayer's money to enrich the military industrial complex. Look at the war in Afghanistan, it's over, and Iraq is scaling back. So NO SALES. Then conveniently your government becomes involved in a small conflict on Russia's border, it tells all you TV watchers it's about Freedom, and you all buy little ukrainian flags to wave while the government gives billions to the arms dealers.
Imagine the state of you national infrastructure if that money had been diverted there instead? You'd have all new roads and bridges wouldn't you. But then the arms dealers would have lost all their profits. You have been played as suckers, for hundreds of years.
