The more things change, the more they stay the same. When you look at 19th century factory buildings, you see windows everywhere to take advantage of every drop of sunlight. This idea of using light guides is better because the insulation penalty of having all those windows is gone.

Our scientists will find a way to turn this energy into electricity which can be converted to hydrogen to be burnt to create electricity to power light bulbs! :P
