2020 Energy

While this site was down temporarily for an upgrade, I had a look at the ASPO web site and found the following site "2020 Energy" under their recommended peak oil sites:

Some of you may not have seen this. Even though it is a couple of years out of date, I think this is still an encouraging plan about the way nations should cope with peak oil. Perhaps hydrogen could be replaced with EVs. What do others think? Are there other alternatives to gasoline besides methanol, ethanol, and biodiesel?

1. TDP.
2. Aqueous Phase Dehydration/Hydrogenation (APD/H) as described in http://w3.tm.tue.nl/fileadmin/tm/TDO/Prof.J.Dumesic.pdf - see slide #27 onward and @ http://www.engr.wisc.edu/news/headlines/2005/Jun02.html

The best technology right now has to be waste -> oil. No need to use resources generating the feedstock - it is already being produced for free. What better carrier than oil? It can seemlessly integrate into the existing infrastructure, and can be transported over vast distances relatively cheaply.

For years the US Department of Energy has tried to come up with a cost effective way to convert cellulose (excess plant matter) into ethanol. I think APD/H may be a step ahead of them in going directly to oil!

The owl is an Illuminatist symbol. This is one of the signals they send each other. They notice it, but we don't.

The elite worship a giant owl at Bohemian Grove.

And check out this arial view of the US capital at Washington.

And look at this logo from that website. I would not trust this site.
