Please Post Charts and Graphs

Unread postby gnm » Thu 10 Nov 2005, 18:54:02

Can anyone point me to a large copy of the oft-seen oil discovery with production overlaid chart? Also I figure we could use this thread to post various good peak oil related charts and graphs. Kind of one stop shopping for those of us wishing to educate the masses. I need to provide quick absorbtion eye candy for educating folks...

Thanks!

I know what you mean, I find good charts then lose them again. Google image search is very useful.

Do you mean this type of thing? I had a better one recently which I since lost. :(

It would be nice to see a version of the above graph with the amount of the "Past Discovery" already used up, shaded differently from the "yet to be used up" portion.
Might be a bit scary.

Was this moved to Open Discussion or started in Open Discussion?

Should it be in Open Discussion?

For now, it makes sense to have this appended to in Depletion Modeling. The type of people you want commenting on this are in there, more often than not.

BP suggests a Q&A style forum which would be similar to the Ask the Experts forum.

The Welcome forums provide something along these lines as does the Open Discussion forum.

Looks like every major "find" causes a production peak 15 years later.

I have an excellent graph I found on the Internet. Its color coded. A picture speaks a thousand words. You can buy it for 12 bucks.

Here's the link for the Australian Demand / discovery / production of "oil & condensate" as supplied by the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association.

here

While not as good as some of the other graphs, it is what is happening in Australia.

Interesting stuff. Its quite striking to see the figures in a visual format, really brings home the immediacy of the situation.

I seem to be having trouble with the uploads, lets see if this works.

Nope, went to the Montquest tutorial and that didn't work either.

Any clues to the clueless?????

They were posted four years ago?

Are you asking how old the images are or why I am using the Montequest tutorial?
