Here's a French series that deals with societal breakdown, and it's a bit of a PO wet dream. They do one episode per month (apparently the full series is available on CANAL+, they've only put two on YouTube), each one being a little vignette of what's happening over time as society breaks down. It's only in French that I know of, but it reminded me of here
