It's spreading...

"When you're a carpenter... every problem looks like a nail."

Assuming nobody here has vast geopolitical influence...

But we all have a hammer... and it's knowledge.

Awareness is most often 90% of the journey. Everything else is just, "doin stuff".

Thanks to all our Moderators, members, and most importantly, guests.
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

Hello Guys and Gals,

I found your web site to be very informative.

The topic by which your web site is based upon revolves around important issues in my field of work, as well as for the global community, and it is a pleasure to see that you all have taken the matter into your own hands to speak about.

I've been reading this board for quite a while...

...but I decided to join this week. Why? Simple. This appears to be the "reality-based community," and hence, lots of interesting commentary can be found here.

Aye. And therein lies the crux of the problem: everyone wants to "get theirs while the gettin's good" which shoves the gas pedal that much further to the floor on our collective mad dash toward the cliff. :x

Anyway welcome...

Yeah I couldn't agree more, pretty much how we have all been conditioned I guess. I'm slowly starting to change my lifestyle as a result, but honestly it's not long sunk that this is a reality. I don't drive, but i'm able not to as I live in the UK and it's pretty easy to get around without a car.

Welcome to the site.

I've only played a few PC games but a Peak Oil based game sounds a great idea and I'm sure this forum would be an excellent source of ideas.

One thing I have learnt from the games I have played (e.g. Age of Mythology) is that you take good care of your resource base because as soon as you run short of something you're in big trouble.

I think it's been done already. There was somebody talking here about the peak oil game they had written... search for it, the thread must be somewhere.

How about a game that punishes players who needlessly quote entire posts?
