ShortCut

Right mouse & save the link to your desktop.

I just keep that tab open 24/7, refresh it when I want to see the latest. Maybe in IE this is voodoo? but with FF it's a snap.

FYI, after a period of time when windows refreshed something,
this link seems to have caused the following error with my XP system.

I receive the above error message ("The filepicker was unexpectedly closed by windows") when ever I try to open a file - a image, email attachment, whatever. Also, when using microsoft wordpad, I cannot save files - when I attempt to save the program closes and I lose all typing. I am running windows xp pro with sp2 with a firewall, regular fire scans, etc. Thanks for any help!

The fix listed below worked.
I've run into the same problem.

In my case, the problem was caused by a single short cut on a desktop. When I removed that shortcut and re-created it, the problem has completely gone!!

The shortcut was ok for a very long time, so I don't know the exact reason why it suddenly caused the problem. But anyway it was solved for me.

How to find the bad shortcut:
1) put everything (except My Computer, My Documents etc) on the desktop into a new folder.
2) open that folder in a small window and scroll within it. When the bad shortcut appears in the window, the explorer.exe immediately crashes.
3) remove that shortcut.

You can try changing your file associations to Microsoft Windows Default

Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Add or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults -> select Microsoft Windows

Isn't it just the same as the "View Posts since last visit" link?

Edit: though I guess if it's clickable from the desktop, it makes it easier for those unable to use bookmarks

Or for those with multiple poorly organized 1000+ long bookmark files...
