I doubt that it does. I think that there is even a donation link from time to time.

My guess is the cost surpass the gains made my ad links.

If it does make a profit, may I humbly suggest getting a new database server?

Even if it doesn't make a profit, I humbly suggest the same thing

Peak Oil makes about a $12,000 profit a month through merchandising and content licensing.

A month?

Try daily.

Aaron, Dan, and the rest of the moderator staff (myself included) have been able to quit our day jobs and live off of the massive profit-making enterprise known as the Peak Oil News and Message Board.

In fact, we've built our own private post peak community complete with a helicopter landing pad (ethanol-fueled, of course) and a 30 foot high concrete fence to keep out the barbarian hordes.

Our private solar array allows us to maintain first world lifestyles and the Peak Oil Supercomputer Mainframe in a petroleum free paradise.

:)

To the best of my knowledge, the website basically breaks even.

PO.com soon to be floated and wriggle it's way into the DOW! Stay tuned, this has from humble beginnings turned into a massive cash cow and profit making machine.

Note: past returns are no indication of future profits, especially in a post PO world.

It's a front for a hedge fund, and we all get royalties, obviously.

the reson i mentioned it was,if you put a pay per impression banner ad on the front page http://www.paypopup.com/?ref=alex736 you could prob make more money as there seem to be about 1000 people visiting the site everyday.

you could use a pop-up ,but people would prob find that annoying.

Hey sirrom -

instead of pushing "ads" infinitum, which suck and we all know it, send Aaron 10 bucks once in awhile.
