Simple question on US oil supply/consumption or fuzzy math?

Unread postby readmnweep » Thu 05 Oct 2006, 12:26:05

From the latest EIA data, the US produces around 5 mbpd (million barrels per day) of crude oil and imports around 10 mbpd. From research, the US consumes more than 20 mbpd. Can someone explain to me, where the extra 5 mbpd comes from?

The first column of numbers is the last 4 week moving average.
So the majority comes from NG liquids and net product imports.

Thanks for the info. The EIA report(s) tell it all! All too much for what I need to know. That's why I'm classified as COAL.
