Hi all... Aaron the Aardvark here... I've just signed up. Adi (who's also just joined) told me about this place, and I'm intrigued as to how a forum gets so many posts in such a short space of time. Congrats to whoever's concerned. Hopefully I can learn a little whilst I'm here...

Greetings Aaron.

It's the emerging relevance of the topic along with the rabid but loving followers :-D
Stop filling dumpsters, as much as you possibly can, and everything will get better.

Just think it through.

Would I be right in assuming that there are no other forums that focus on the same topic as well as this one does? ie. this is the leading forum for peak oil, right?

Yes hasn't the number of members (and guests) grown since peak oil hit some headlines. I keep on hearing about the days when peak oil only had a post every hour or so.

Plus I think peakoil.com has somewhat of an international monopoly on peakoil discussion. There are not that many forums in the world soley dedicated to discussing peak oil.

That's right, we have a fossil fuels forum but it's one of many general environmental topics (and nowhere near as busy as this place). You guys have done a great job.

It demonstrates the power of having a niche, I suppose...

Yep. This is the only peak oil related message board that I know about. It will be difficult to catch now, I think.
