So apparently it wasn't even Sarin Gas.

The first responders aren't wearing gloves. Sarin would have killed them

The United States of America and the The City of London want a Global War.
The reasons are as follows:
1.) Unpayable DEBT in the G7 Economies.
2.) Peak Conventional Oil/Liquid fuels.
3.) Lower and lower EROEI. Meaning the pie is less.....so it needs to service less people.
4.) #3 is the key reason why the USA and the UK have reversed their Globalization drive and switched to a USA and/or UK first policy frame.
The key Policy goal for Russia and China is to prevent the occurrence of War and let the G7 countries self destruct themselves financially.

Oh and The US wanted a pipeline from Kazakhstan to come through Syria, and he refused. He felt it would leave Syria vulnerable to ecological and terrorist damage...

Apparently Trump bombed Syria because the pictures made Ivanka cry.

ivanka-may-have-convinced-her-dad-to-bomb-syria/

This is just as idiotic as the EU letting a million Syrian etc. immigrants into Europe because there was a sad picture of a drowned child on a beach.

This has got to stop. The US and other countries have got to stop making huge geopolitical decisions on the basis of people crying over sad pictures.

Terrorist "doctor" sniffs for chemical odour. Can't make out sarin or chlorine. If it was sarin he would be dead and sarin is odourless.

BTW, the claim was this was a chemical attack by Assad? With what? Bombs with chemicals are specifically designed to spread them over a large area and kill as many as possible. Look at the alleged death count and consider the fact that there would be total extermination in any given area affected by the bomb, yes even in closed rooms because nothing is hermetically sealed and the the gas/vapour will get in.

The Russians know very well that any clash with us would end in disaster. Their much acclaimed S-400 system couldn't even stop our old technology Tomahawk cruise missiles. Russians always evoke scary talk when they are bluffing.

It takes nothing to provoke Russia. To never act for fear of provoking Russia is to cede the world to a global bully.

Does this mean that Trump is no longer Putin's puppet or does narrative still work for the left?

Trump was never Putin's puppet, but I don't think this will get him off the hook with the MSM. Already they are complaining that Syrian jets are still taking off from the airfield that Trump bombed and still attacking their beloved Syrian rebels---THey want the US to take sides and support the Sunni rebels aka Islamists against the Syrian regime.

My guess is that if Trump doesn't make more attacks on the Syrian government, the MSM will say its because he's Putin's bitch.

Bring it on. As they say in the movies, When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk!

http://www.newsweek.com/assad-allies-pr ... nes-581139

A joint command center made up of the forces of Russia, Iran and militias supporting Syrian President Bashar al Assad said the U.S. strike on a Syrian air base on Friday crossed "red lines" and it would respond to any new aggression and increase its support for its ally.

The United States fired dozens of cruise missiles at a Syrian air base on Friday from which it said a deadly chemical weapons attack had been launched earlier in the week, escalating the U.S. role in Syria and drawing criticism from Assad's allies including Russia and Iran.

"What America waged in an aggression on Syria is a crossing of red lines. From now on we will respond with force to any aggressor or any breach of red lines from whoever it is and America knows our ability to respond well," said the statement published by the group on media outlet Ilam al Harbi (War Media).

Why?

What is the point of fighting in Syria in a civil war between the Sunnis and the Shia?

Both sides do horrible things and for some reason Trump has put the US on the side of Al Qaida and ISIS---has he gone nuts?

What is the point of the US wading into this fight?

Cheers!

We are bombing the piss out of ISIS in both Iraq and Syria. In this particular case, we dropped some bombs on a government military that used chemical agents. Chemical agents that they are forbidden to have by UN security council agreement. Chemical agents that our Russian friends have assured us that they took care of years ago.

As long as we limit ourselves to this particular item, that being that the use of chemical agents is forbidden, I see no greater involvement on our part. I understand that there are NeoCons of all political stripes that want a further involvement in Syria but so far I have seen no signs that Trump is interested in that.

Make no mistake about it. Russia is not our buddies and friends. We are competitors and rivals. We aren't going to sit around the campfire and sing kumbaya. Trump just demonstrated that he is not going to allow Russia to play their usual games with the USA. Something that needed to be done before we get down to serious talks with them.

Cog , I got a different take on the change of policy
when the incoming elect walk into the white house , he is dragged straight away to the basement
there he is tied to a chair and given a shot of "the juice" ,
when he come to , dazzled , he channel the proper message
..... KILL ....KILL ....KILL !

I've heard it reported by various sources that what brought Regan to the bargining table with Russia to sign the arms treaty was the made for TV movie " The Day After."

His aides said he could not conceive of the reality as described by his advisors, but the movie he could understand.
