I added a wikipedia-style external link to the index.

I added a wikipedia-style external link to the index.

Changed it around, added a checkbox at the bottom:

"Link to http://peakoil.com (instead of cached copy)"

The page will remember your setting in a cookie, so you should only have to click it once.

Have admins tried increasing the max_allowed_packet value yet? Maybe to something large, like 32M? or 64M? Looks like it's getting killed after 1MB (which seems sort of low).
