I'm not a very good neocon though.
I'm an atheist and I've never voted for the Conservative party.
I've never voted for the Liberals or NDP either though. :o

Yes, it can, and I did. This affects our country. But if it's such a wee, funny joke to you then this is the tat you should be getting:

I've already got one.
A Maple Leaf, St. Andrew's Cross and a St. George Cross too.
Unlike you I don't hate Americans.
I can distinguish between their Gov't and the people.
I've got many friends and relatives in the U.S.A.

You really should get your head out of your butt and think a bit.
Because I've never voted for the "big 3" means I've never voted?
I already told you in another thead that I voted for the Marijuana Party in the last election. Last several in fact.
I also voted for the Rhino party in my youth and yes, even an Alberta Seperatist party once.

Yeah, it's pretty funny.

For some reason, I've suspected Nickel is a her.
Civil servant type.
Sitting behind a desk in some federal Gov't office in Ottawa or maybe Provincial office in Toronto.
You know, asking people to come back later because they didn't have form R1-ZH489 stamped in the right place, something along that lines.

I could be dead wrong though. :)

I'm glad you said "country" instead of "nation", because some of our citizens (mostly the younger ones) are starting to recognize nationalism for the anachronism it really is.

If the government won't act in our defense, the people will. Not because of some ephemeral concept like "Canada the nation", but because it's our own back yard.

Yeah, what he said. So there. And Canada has Bagpipes. So there..(actually just wanted to post this bagpipe video)

The US are a bunch of uncultured twits. There is nothing more exhilarating than pipe and drums.

Not to give the wrong people the wrong ideas(nice job Michael, notice Alan Alda's comment, "What about international terrorism?" You may have started the War on Terror with this movie), you really should see Canadian Bacon.

You would think Michael Moore was precient or Bush just stole his foreign policy from the movie.

I can see that Nickel likes to rant on over the Red Ensign.

Please remember that the maple leaf used in the present "Liberal" flag was modeled on the Sugar Maple (Acer sacchararum) a tree whose natural range doesn't extend much further west than Lake of the Woods.

It's also the one on the Red Ensign, rattleskull, so in terms of flags, it's a moot point.

Me either; I am an American. As are you.

I also don't hate people from the United States. Just the foreign policies and acts of their government.

What, anytime someone responds to a post, they're "rising to the bait" now? Too bad you can't get paid to pat yourself on the ass... obviously, you'd make a fortune.

So if you chaps are all done, ahhh, wiggling your worms and "pulling [my] pisser]" and such, are any of you interested in graduating from grade three and throwing in on Arctic sovereignty or something?

I'm not sure what more there is to say about Arctic Sovereignty.
There back in the middle of the thread I said I liked what you had to say in that one post.
It will be interesting to see what Obama has to say about this, as well as NAFTA, now that he is actually in the big chair.

Personally, I'm of the option that he would love to re-open NAFTA if he could find a way to just re-open it re Mexico, but probably not Canada. I don't think we've been a problem for the US the way Mexico has; our labour costs are a lot more in line with theirs. But there's really no way he can open it up without involving us, so I think it's something that will wither on the vine. I haven't heard anything about it in ages.
