Has the "general spirit of the site" been defined? Does that include some moderators wading into debates to gush forth their racist bile, yet silencing those who vociferously pursue more progressive agendas?

I'd be interested to know what this spirit is meant to consist of, and why this nebulous new rule is deemed necessary.

Yep, one of the reasons I've distanced myself a bit is because blatant, mean spirited racial hate isn't held more in check. I think most people harbor some mildly racist inclinations, but that's different than some of the mean spirited bile that gets posted here. People yukking it up about acts of cruelty to others, be it individuals or groups should be removed. It makes the site look truly terrible.

If I owned this website I would ban anyone admitting or encouraging, or speaking well of eating any form of sentient life. And anyone swearing or posting creepy pictures would be banned too. Oh, I would also ban anyone saying mean stuff about other site members.

Other than that I would be totally, and I mean TOTALLY non-discriminatory and inclusive, much like the owners of this site are.

The rest of you could remain regardless of your political, social, sexual, cultural, national, racial, dommeristic, non-doomeristic perspectives. Even Monte, as long as he was nice... lol.
