Which one uses more energy in construction?

Would prefitting solar/wind renewables in Manufactured housing make sense and make them more desireable?

I would look at it in a different way. A efficient house is better thought of as an organism that evolves, adapts, learns, grows into its environment - like a plant. It seems unlikely that prefab can create optimised responses - 'though they may be cheap and easy to make so perhaps make useful transition technologies.
