the more outrageous solutions will be offered and actually put to use.

It's very hard to accept that the world we know it will be permanently destroyed by PO and its aftermath.

PO will knock down the world's financial, defence, and virtually any other system you could imagine.

Even if some locales can produce enough energy to sustain them for years, it will be engulfed in the global upheavals associated with PO because everything is so interdependent nowdays.

So many people can just see their own locales, or at most their own continents.

But the effect of PO is G-L-O-B-A-L. There is nowhere to hide.

Collectivisation, removal of resource traps such as a consumption based economies and perma-culture systems of agriculture and technology - all at governmental level.

I get the impression you mean that the government is to compell people to conform to these standards. I think that will be an unpopular government - one which can only maintain power by force.

I don't believe I care to live in such a venue.
