I at least do a little critical research from reliable sources. But I also use a lot of common sense, and common sense says that if this low grade Geo thermal was of any value it would have been tapped into long ago. Like nocar says above, it works ok up around the arctic circle where the temperature differential is high, but it's not cheap.
More BS. Your "critical research" consists of parroting zerohedge articles. Stories hoping to garner money with clickbait crap. And you and swallow it hook line and sinker. And your common sense fails miserably as well. Heat pumps would have been used years ago if they had value? They have been used for decades! There are more heat pumps sold in the US than furnaces:

Heat pumps outsold gas furnaces. Again. According to data from the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute released last week, Americans bought 21 percent more heat pumps in 2023 than the next-most popular heating appliance, fossil gas furnaces.

As electric appliances, heat pumps help slash planet-warming emissions from a major source — space heating — while also letting consumers ditch the health-harming fumes from gas and heating oil in their homes. They’re almost magically efficient; they can routinely produce the same amount of heat as a fossil-fired system using just a third or a quarter of the energy.
Heat pumps outsold gas furnaces again last year — and the gap is growing

The EU is the fastest-growing market for heat pumps, but China has the largest number of installations, according to a new report.

Europe’s shift away from gas has been getting all the attention, but the world’s biggest market for new heat pump sales is China. While North America has the largest number of heat pumps already installed in homes and the EU is the fastest-growing market — sales were up 35% there last year, compared with 15.1% globally — China had the largest number of new installations.
China Is Leading the World on Heat-Pump Adoption

Worldwide sales of heat pumps are set to soar to record levels in the coming years as the global energy crisis accelerates their adoption, the International Energy Agency says in a new special report released today.

Heat pumps are a hyper-efficient and climate-friendly solution, which help consumers save money on bills and enable countries to cut reliance on imported fossil fuels, according to the IEA special report The Future of Heat Pumps, the first comprehensive global outlook on the subject.

The heat pump market has been growing strongly in recent years, due to falling costs and strong incentives. Global heat pump sales rose by nearly 15% in 2021, double the average of the past decade, led by the European Union where they rose by around 35%. Sales in 2022 are set to hit record levels in response to the global energy crisis, especially in Europe where some countries are seeing sales double in the first half of 2022 compared with the same period last year.

Annual sales of heat pumps in the EU could rise to 7 million by 2030 – up from 2 million in 2021. Heating buildings accounts for one-third of EU gas demand today. Heat pumps could reduce that demand by nearly 7 billion cubic metres (bcm) in 2025 – roughly equal to the natural gas supplied via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline in 2021.

“Heat pumps are an indispensable part of any plan to cut emissions and natural gas use, and an urgent priority in the European Union today,”
The global energy crisis is driving a surge in heat pumps, bringing energy security and climate benefits

Geothermal Heat Pump Market Trends
The global geothermal heat pump market size was estimated at USD 11.97 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.6% from 2024 to 2030. The growing demand for reliable, cost-effective, and energy-efficient solutions is projected to drive market growth over the forecast period.

Soil temperatures in most areas of U.S. are usually warmer than air during winters and cooler in summers. GHPs use ground's constant temperature to cool and heat buildings. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), GHPs are the most cost-effective, environmentally clean, and energy-efficient systems for cooling and heating buildings including homes, office buildings, schools, and hospitals.
Geothermal Heat Pump Market Trends

The global geothermal heat pump market is driven by rising application in residential and commercial buildings. The geothermal heat pumps technology is a significant advancement to conventional heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that are typically based on air-source heat pumps. Rising prices of oil and electricity in developing nations across the globe is expected to fuel the demand for cost-efficient alternatives such as geothermal systems.

Growing oil prices and subsequent rises in electricity & energy costs have created a dire need for energy substitutes. The cost-effectiveness and dependability of alternative energy sources are making them popular in recent times. Owing to these reasons, the global market for geothermal heat pumps has been witnessing remarkable growth. The worsening issue of climate change will continue to propel the geothermal heat pump market in the foreseeable future.

Idiots. Don't they know Lucky called this a big scam? I guess these morons can't use "common sense" like Lucky does.

More BS. I have been concerned about our energy dilemma for years now. Why do you think I joined this site in the first place?

Infrasound From Wind Turbines Could Be 'A Huge Threat To The Entire Biodiversity

No I hadn't heard of it either, more unintended consequences of the Great transition to rebuildables. Cornucopians of course will dismiss it as irrelevant, nothing must stand in the way of progress. I learnt many years ago that you never buy a house near High Voltage transmission lines, they generate EM fields that can induce currents, enough to illuminate a fluorescent tube beneath them. Since our bodies contain charged particles these fields can interact with them as too. It's all well documented, and pushed under the carpet, just like the dangers of cellular phone overuse. People who haven't figured that out yet deserve their brain tumors IMO.

... For Dr. Ursula Bellut-Staeck, this development represents “a huge problem for all forms of organisms,” including humans. The medical doctor and scientific author has been studying the health effects of infrasound for several years. She has been looking into infrasound as a stressor on the cellular level since 2015 and published a paper in 2023 on how infrasound affects microcirculation and endothelial cells.

Inaudible but Impactful

Infrasound is defined as a sound wave with a frequency of less than 20 hertz (Hz). The lower the frequency of the sound, the greater its wavelength and the harder it is to shield from it. Infrasound can penetrate walls, people, and animals. “With ever larger wind turbines, the frequencies are getting lower and lower. This makes infrasound more problematic and dangerous,” Dr. Bellut-Staeck told The Epoch Times.

“Since around 2015, it has been noticed that people exposed to infrasound and vibration from technical emitters have shown symptoms that correspond to microcirculatory disorders,” Dr. Bellut-Staeck said. This effect was particularly noticeable after smaller wind turbines were replaced by larger ones.

Reported adverse effects of industrial wind turbines include weakness, dizziness, headaches, concentration and memory issues, ear pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, and sleep disorders, according to research cited in Canadian Family Physician.

Numerous animals have also reacted to wind turbines. It has been observed that they leave the vicinity of wind turbines. One study published in Scientific Reports showed that many bird and mammal species avoided wind farms and the surrounding areas, affecting distribution and migration patterns. Place-bound animals such as horses, cows, and pets are said to have shown changes in behavior, including signs of stress.

“Cellphones, cell towers and other wireless devices are regulated by most governments,” said Moskowitz. “Our government, however, stopped funding research on the health effects of radiofrequency radiation in the 1990s.”

Since then, he said, research has shown significant adverse biologic and health effects — including brain cancer — associated with the use of cellphones and other wireless devices. And now, he said, with the fifth generation of cellular technology, known as 5G, there is an even bigger reason for concern.

It’s difficult to make conclusions based on this data. There does appear to be some evidence that more than 10 years of cell phone use may increase the risk of brain tumors. Yet, the potential for recall bias means the data isn’t irrefutable. Nonetheless, I would recommend being conscious of the amount of time you spend with a cell phone or a cordless phone against your head. Luckily, we can now communicate through a Bluetooth device, reducing whatever risk there may be.

Epidemiological data and basic science research increasingly support a significant association between cell phone use and ipsilateral (same side) brain tumors with long term use.

Bitcoin is just part of the remedy and completely Permaculture compliant. It takes a system to heal the world and its people.
