Hello,
I've known of this forum for a while now, I decided to join. I'm twenty three, from the UK, England, Greater London.
I've known about this energy problem since I was eighteen, I have an interest in political affairs, I know of Ron Paul, in fact it was his 2007 run for high office in the states that got me interested in certain aspects of Uk politics, such as foreign policy or patriotism, freedom, etc
I am a socialist leaning, I do not agree with Mr Paul's society outlook, in other areas like I mentioned above, definately.
I am a member on the Ron Paul forums, most folk there tend to ignore energy problems, even on America's debate, totally opposite to the Ron Paul crowd. On America's debate they discuss running the world and the intellectual debate, where as the RP crowd enjoy talking about defence and not militarism, which I do agree with.
In the past, through here, posters have said, his vision is going back to the old west. Ron is much more reasonable than that, he would never just close everything down, he would need the congress's approval first.
On foreign policy - I tell the generals what to do, I like his anti war spirit, pro strong defence position. I think if he could get elected, that is all he could possibly achieve.
I could be wrong
Though getting through to those career building stereo typical men and a few women who wear the uniform out of blind ignorance, is a tough one to end. Conflict, empire building is as old as early societies.
