Just to be clear this is gas exploration. The Reliance project resulted in a discovery of, if memory serves, around 13 TCF. The problem with gas, of course, and especially deep water gas, is getting it to market. There is a large demand for gas onshore India but I'm certain that is likely supplied completely by the already discovered volumes by Reliance. Additional volumes would have to go somewhere else and it is difficult to imagine the potential egress solutions. Northwest? ....can't go through Pakistan and Iran already has more gas than it knows what to do with, East....would require a pipeline going through Bangladesh which politically would be a tought sell, North....yes lots of demand in China but can't imagine putting a pipeline through the Himalayas. There is always LNG I suppose, which is probably what they are thinking about. That market is becoming incredibly competitive as there are a number of LNG projects set to come on stream in the next couple of years which will likely flood the market and drop prices.
