Instead of encouraging free and open debate, collectivists strive to discredit and intimidate opponents. They engage in character assassination. (I should know, as the almost daily target of their attacks.)

Really, what a poor, sad victim this guy seems to be. Pathetic, really. More to be pitied than blamed, and all that. Not to mention the burden of all those billions he is saddled with the onerous responsibility of disposing of. I'm almost in tears just thinking about it...but not quite.

Right wing blogs are full of death squad fantasies. And the Kochs have the money laundering ability to secretly fund their own Gestapo army. And these wouldn't be amateurs either, these would be stone cold professionals. All they need is a charismatic pervert to lead their movement. Vitter isn't the one, but you know they are looking.

How curious that libs have absolutely no problem with the top 58 political donors, but go into hysteria over the 59th largest donor.

I'm OK with that. But I'm not going to join in the Koch bashing. If rich people donating money to politicians is such a big problem, then why not complain about the top 10 or the top 20 richest donors who are doing the most to corrupt the system, rather than fixating on the 59th largest donor and giving the 58 above them on the list a free pass.

Thats just willful ignorance. Every political action group on the list is funded by humans. Even the Koch brothers do their political work through a political action committee.

Pretending that the Kochs are the only "humans" who give money to political campaigns is just ridiculous

why plant? Because (other than Emily of list fame and Morgan Stanley) there are no other humans on the list. That is why we obsess about those two slimeballs. They are a real flesh/blood criminals. Otherwise we'd have to change the Corporate Personhood constitutional amendments. And we know what that requires? Right?

I'll give you a few more reasons:

1) They are conspiracy nuts raised by conspiracy nuts living in the conspiracy nut fantasy world their whole lives.
2) Obsession with traditional Nazi/Fascist themes of fertility, fighting the liberal press, "envy," unions, public education, "defending" marriage.
3) Carving the country up into individual privately controlled kingdoms.
4) Oil industry geopolitical interests where taking the US to war is likely to be all wrapped up in their crazy conspiracy ideas.
5) National effort to suppress voting.

It does raise the question of what drove two of America's richest men to suddenly make a frenzied grab for control of the country when they are in their 70s? What looming apocalypse do they think is about to overwhelm their empire? What are they afraid of?

It's pretty obvious that this is all about the Black man in DC, but that hardly seems to explain it. There's some sort of paranoid senile conspiracy theory driving these nuts, but the question is, which one? A race war? That's sure consistent with the sudden drive to suppress minority voters and the GOPs overwhelming obsession with fertility. Now we have people who say birth control should be illegal for anything except medical need, and that includes Mitt Romney, who said this was a major problem.
