India is a military joke ,the Islamic word is a concept most Muslim states are solid pro west
including the most militants like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
Morocco , Indonesia and Egypt are very pro U.S. ,
the rest have food deficit and need vast amount of grain imports ,
that's controlled by the West traders and navies
China doesn't want any war , they are winning as it is
Russia doesn't want any war either ,
if forced into one they have the option of vitrifying the Easter edge of NATO
as a warning to the rest to cool down

China recently tested slbm mirv
This is China's second major test in one month. First a land-based mirv (silo) and now a submarine slbm mirv. It is all about deterrence and asymmetric warfare.

I guess CCP is not 100% pushover... but still they need a USSR deadhand system just to make sure.

.
there is a few issue with sub launched Chines MIRV
one is survivability from the U.S. hunter killers subs
the other , related , is range
a five thousand miles range missile is needed to reach any good target
Hawaii and Guam are totally expendable , Alaska largely so too

to get juicy target the Chines sub would have to get out of their offshore "brown "waters
and into the deep blue stuff, preferably one thousand miles off California or less
tough call , very tough call

From your own reference for the JL2
"will allow it to reach Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Russia, and India but not the continental United States from Chinese littoral waters "
pretty much my point above
as for the DF41 it's a land based mobile launcher , no sub application as yet

Certainly there will be some further development in Chinese strategic forces
sub based missiles are an important component of those forces

some points , Chinese nuclear forces are tiny compared to the U.S. /Russian arsenal
as a proportion of its GDP even more so
the modernization and expansion to sea based launcher is due to China rolling in cash
plus a great amount of unease with the Missile shield program
It was noted that the original deployment in Alaska and California
was targeting Chinese land based forces ,
All the mealy mouthed clucking noise from Washington didn't hide the fact
that the Chinese strategic forces had a big bull eye painted on them
Action bring reaction , hence the modernization program
there is the many issues with India , one could characterize it as a cold peace
they can and want to outspend India
China want to remain the guy with the big stick in their neighborhood

further , having credible nuclear forces is the ticket to getting respect
the next round of treaty will have to include them ,

This is why China needs a thermonuclear deadhand system in place asap.

What are you on about? The disappearance of the VP/ next premier for a week or 2 has what to do with China's need for 'thermonuclear deadhand system'?

If Obama gets a football why doesn't Xi get a deadhand?

Or would it be more appropriate to rename it to brokeback?

The link I posted to above, url reads:

There goes the Western media propaganda machine about "legitimacy" again.. Hmm.... where have I seen this trick before?

Qaddafi Has Lost Legitimacy to Rule Libya's People, Obama Tells Merkel

Now Xi has also lost legitimacy... and he doesn't even have a football....

China has to protect itself against first-strike decapitation. A surprise attack depressed trajectory submarine pin-down strike from the US with SLBM MIRV close to China shore can obliterate pretty much all of China as we know it in about than 5 real-time minutes. Not enough time for Xi to make a decision while he is recovering in the ICU.
