I see so much of this crap as if there is a wish for it. Sometimes it is qualified that it 'is for the good of the planet'.

My parents went through the Depression and my Mom's family was poor before it started. It was a wounded family decades past. I just think many don't realize what something like that really implies. It is no joke.

It makes sense, in a way. Look at commodities. They are going down, and they are the building blocks for the economy of the near future. Nobody wants too much stuff, because they are having a hard time selling the stuff they have. 6 abandoned houses for every homeless person means that there isn't much demand for more real estate, at least among people who can pay for it. 2015 seems to be about right as a start of the depression. It is interesting that all the things we are talking about on these forums, Peak Oil and peak everything is happening, but the price isn't going up, it's going down. Same difference, since most people don't have enough money to pay for any of it, and are using less anyway.

I bailed on the video right after it started, but my sense was that this was someone else attempting to sell "special insights" on the Web. Nobody knows the future in any specifics, and 2015 is much too specific. Of course, this Yahoo will keep changing the date and making the same claim, as long as people give him money. He's not getting any of mine, nor will I liquidate everything I own before 2015. Especially since I too believe that when the bottom drops out of the economy, step one is when you wake up one day and discover that overnight, money became worthless.
