Far from addressing the problem, Trump’s policy will aggravate it: analysts say it could lead to 6.5 million unintended pregnancies over the next four years alone.

I’m the one who should be getting a cheque. How about a sustainability cheque for NOT breeding and for selling my truck and taking transit when I moved back to the big city?

Well, any effort is something. Any effort helps in little ways here, there and on the fringe. Overall in the big picture no human effort will matter. This is a biological momentum. It will be stopped biologically by a die down from breaching overshoot just like reindeers and rabbits. Let’s quit pulling our pud. This article is just like the Paris accord party where lying fake greens rejoiced in human cooperation. What a joke because it was more like a fake political rally. Talk about a fake climate effort. All the howling over Trump but what about China and their coal plant build out. Not only China but what about all the coal plants China is building in south Asia and Africa. The same self-deception is true for this article on population. We are just talking but not accepting reality. We are heading for a rebalance and there is nothing that we can do. It will be painful and unfair but where in nature has fairness and comfort been the norm? It is part of the balance to have pain, suffering, and death. Get used to it and quit your whining.

I remember reading an article about an African leader speaking about the dangers of overpopulation. While he addressed the audience of people to his surprise starting CHEERING as you rattled off the increasing numbers of people and resources needed to sustain the country.
In their minds it was a POSITIVE good change having a larger population.
Also, at this time even birth control would have a marginal influence for the outcome.
