Sorry to Bug You, but Everything Is at Risk

The concept of worldwide peak oil has been around for a while and usually is considered the domain of crackpots and conspiracy theorists. Unfortunately those left-wing granola slurpers at the Pentagon are not alone. The military¹s analysis aligns neatly with a recent study by the University of Kuwait and another estimate issued by billionaire Richard Branson’s energy task force.

The consequences of losing that surplus production capacity are unknown, but as the JOE report says: “It would surely reduce the prospects for growth in both the developing and developed worlds. Such an economic slowdown would exacerbate unresolved tensions, pushing fragile and failing states … toward collapse.”

In other words, go ahead and schedule a major recession on your calendar for roughly the middle of the decade.

The report goes on to warn that, “The Great Depression spawned a number of totalitarian regimes that sought economic prosperity for their nations by ruthless conquest.”
