Noam Chomsky: We’re on the Brink of Global Catastrophe

Noam Chomsky: We’re on the Brink of Global Catastrophe thumbnail

Famed linguist and activist Noam Chomsky says that the United States under President Donald Trump is driving the world closer to catastrophe than it’s been in decades.

In an interview with the Australian Broadcasting CorporationChomsky pointed out that the so-called “Doomsday Clock” created by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Science and Security Board is now closer to midnight than at any time since the height of the Cold War.

“Just now a week ago it was moved two minutes to midnight, after a year of Trump,” Chomsky said. “That’s the closest it’s been to terminal disaster since 1953 when the US and later the USSR exploded thermonuclear weapons demonstrating that human intelligence had now developed the capacity to destroy everything on Earth.”

Chomsky said that the Trump administration in particular had accelerated two key risks to humanity through its refusal to act to combat climate change and its saber-rattling with a nuclear-armed North Korea.

Nonetheless, he did see some room for optimism in the United States, despite the dire current political landscape.

“Go back to the 2016 election, the focus of attention is of course on the Trump victory,” he said. “However something else happened that was astonishing: Bernie Sanders, who came from nowhere, even used the scare word ‘socialist,’ had no support from private wealth… he might’ve won the election, and is now far and away the most respected political figure in the country.”

Noam is right like always! Trump and the repbliCons might bring down civilization before the oil runs out and the economy collapses.

Sometimes people get old and begin the process of senility, Noam is an example. Here on our forum it would be billyT. The problem with Noam, he is an intelligent guy in narrow specialized field that attempts to be an expert in multiple fields. Many of these fields he does not belong. BTW, Bernie Sanders is not a respectable figure. His wife is pretty rotten too. There are no respectable figures in American politics of any notoriety. The respectable ones like Tulsi Gabbard are marginalized. She is honest and smart. It doesn’t hurt to be hot too.

What the fuck do you know? You are an uneducated hick farmer who lives in a shit hole rust belt state! Full of gun tooting religious people! And Tusli Gabbard believes in 100 percent renewable s..Total bimbo idiot!

Minimind, Davys Missouri is too far south to be considered a rust belt state. And Davy, Bernie was the cleanest dirty shirt to choose from because in the corporatocracy no one stays clean for long.

Siss, I agree, I would have voted for him over the other two.

Yet another compulsory tribal liar attacking Trump.

Chomsky was the “fine scholar” who opined that 9/11 didn’t need to be investigated, obviously because “his people” were responsible for the tragedy, not these ridiculous 19 Arabs with box-cutters.

    Disgusting individual.

Chomsky is waaay too diplomatic when he says:

“human intelligence had now developed the capacity to destroy everything on Earth”.

There is a lot of other words you could call that – and none of them positive in any way.

We need to create a one world government! Then we could end war forever!

That’s ok. Government to be located in Europe. Expect a tax invoice soon. For the rest you do as we tell you.

    You’re an idiot.

Eurozone: EU economies grew at fastest rate in a decade in 2017, latest figures show

GDP of currency area expanded by 2.5 per cent in calendar year, signalling most rapid rate of growth since a 3.4 per cent expansion in 2007

Housing prices have been increasing in Holland since 2013 and in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 increased/will increase with 7% per year.

You are such a distributor of fake news, millimind. Why don’t you give us a good laugh and try to rape Taylor Swift as you have repeatedly announce you will.

Boy do you need a good beating up.

“The responsibility to protect the world from a rogue nation cannot be argued with, and we understandably have a duty to ensure the future of humanity….

However, there is one rogue nation that continues to hold the world ransom with its nuclear weapons supply. It is decimating non-compliant states left, right, and center. This country must be stopped dead in its tracks before anyone turns to the issue of North Korea….

This nation’s blood lust continued well after the end of World War II. Barely half a decade later, this country bombed North Korea into complete oblivion, destroying over 8,700 factories, 5,000 schools, 1,000 hospitals, 600,000 homes, and eventually killing off as much as 20 percent of the country’s population. As the Asia Pacific Journal has noted, the assaulting country dropped so many bombs that they eventually ran out of targets to hit, turning to bomb the irrigation systems, instead:…

When it isn’t directly bombing a country, it is also arming radical insurgent groups, creating instability, and directly overthrowing governments through its covert operatives on the ground.”

“There is only one country that has done that and continues to do the very things North Korea is being accused of doing.” Amerika.

This mad dog needs to be put down … NOW!.

Germany’s economy may speed from strength to strength and its athletes leading the Olympic medal table (even before the, politically the country is getting more unstable by the day:

Merkel is keen on forming a government with a party, the SPD, that doesn’t really want to govern, because they know if they do, the party will be decimated by doing so, just like most social-democrats in Europe, where voters flee to populist parties out of disgust with immigration policies and changing demographics, organized by the corrupt political class of the dying US led West.

Meanwhile in the polls the SPD is at the same level as the AfD:

…and it remains to be seen if the SPD membership will approve of the intended GroKo (“Grosse Koalition” or “Great Coalition”. Germans love to abbreviate multiple words like this, resulting in gems like “Gestapo” or “Stasi”, etc., but I digress).

Meanwhile the brains of the ruling leftist, America worshiping political class, magazine der Spiegel sees a disaster at the horizon and vehemently opposes the intended new government and calls for Merkel to take her hat and have new elections organized without her.

It is unlikely that this stubborn witch will concur before she has destroyed the country completely with her “humanitarian totalitarianism”.

Meanwhile the AfD keeps rising in the polls and it won’t be long before Germany will have morphed in a second Weimar Republic.

We are experiencing the downfall of western liberalism and George Soros his “Open Society”, both in the US and in Europe.

Are you ready for reactionary policies?

Erdogan wants to give the US an “Osmanic slap” (in the face):

Reason: the US support the Kurds, who are the only somewhat secular Marxists in the area and are hence liked by the US.

Erdogan in contrast wants to keep the Kurds in his tax farm and is not amused with this US support, that could cost him up to 1/3 of his country:

Erdogan denied that he intentionally wants to shoot Americans, but he warned the Americans not to be too close to “Kurdish terrorists”, just to avoid accidents.

Going swell, this Turkisch-American alliance, aka NATO.

In the current constellation, an interesting question is: “will there be a Turkish-Iranian alliance”?

The Israeli JPost doesn’t consider this likely:

The British-leftist (but I repeat myself) newspaper Guardian is not so sure:

Here a source that underlines that Russia is encouraging a Turkish-Iranian rapprochement, now that Iran has prevailed over Turkey in Syria. The source also claims that Russia and Iran are arming the Taliban in Afghanistan in order to throw the Americans out, a reciprocal act of when the Americans brought the Taliban into life in order to throw the Soviets out of Afghanistan, with success:

“billy, you know how your buddy hates when you go to zerohedge all the time.”

That would be you who links to Zerohedge all of the time Davy. It’s obviously extremely upsetting to you when your guru, Tyler Durden, has bad things to say about the empire.

Maybe you should start sending Tyler messages of hate, like you do to everybody else who causes your blood pressure to go up.

And Davy, the difference between you makati, is that he doesn’t try to hide his links behind a tiny URL.

The Demonic Party + RINOs need crime.  In spite of their sanctimonious speechifying and virtue-signaling, they could not care less about American lives.  The illegal invasion of indigent criminals allegedly helps the economy (but — just by accident, mind you — produces votes for the Socio-Communist Left, since the invaders are used to, and prefer, dictators who promise fantasia).  Ignore the fact that, yearly, vastly more American lives are lost through narcotics overdoses than in military conflicts or training.  The political elites block any serious attempt (e.g., a wall against Mexico) to stop the importation of neuro-poisons by the illegals (just looking for a better life, sob, sob) invading the country from Spickland, Araby or Hindoodom.  After all, “we” (i.e., you, Whitey) have an international obligation to accept “refugees,” &c., &c.  And — wouldn’t you know — the Dems and RINOs profit from the invaders’ votes (and from the money that comes via subterranean channels from the narcotrade).

The complete abandon with which the Congressional elites indebt our country shows their secret contempt for its population.  They ridicule the few legislators who attempt to halt or even slow the unprecedented squandering of national wealth, while the same elites engage in pompous fake indignation over alleged personal improprieties (especially those inveighed against by puritans or vengeful women) of political enemies.  Not to be overlooked is the fact that, because our leaders’ one and only concern is re-election and the evanescent glory that attends it, mass death by narcotics is irrelevant in their political calculations.

In addition, the anti-White (Communism-lite) media do everything possible to distract the populace from their lethal design to extinguish the Caucasian race.  They magnify minor infractions (sexual advances, domestic abuse, &c.) while downplaying the corrosion of the youth and the disintegratation of the family.  Because all that matters to them is public attention and advertizing dollars, which enable promotion of their murderous agenda.  To wit, the billionaire string-pullers are furthering the destruction of the country while pretending that “we” need to “purify” ourselves à la the twisted value system of Yid-Cretinity.

Meanwhile, America continues its bloody rampage throughout the world.  It is, thus, no wonder that some countries are gearing up for a Final Battle against the global monster.  It is the only way to prevent homo sapiens from turning into a criminal species.

Greggie, I do that to irritate you and it is working. I cover all my URL’s to keep a clean board and to make buttwipes like you dig deeper. This ensures you walk through the shit I leave you. Greggie, are you stinky? The difference between you and me is I say something and you don’t. You just stalk and prick and enable extremist perverts. Big difference there dumbass. It does not matter if what I say is what you want to read. I say something. You and your perverted extremist friends can complain and whine all you like and that just makes it better. I like your criticism because it means I am getting under your thin skin. Look how I beat dumbass billy down. His message of hate has worn down. You rabid Canadian anti-Americans are in decline too. It is working. LOL. I am not a coward like you hiding behind your acts of fake authority. You need a gang to feel this authority. Deep inside you are a pussy who can’t face people with ideas and that is because you have few. You are not that smart you are just a normal wannabe smart fool.

“It is the only way to prevent homo sapiens from turning into a criminal species.”

Come on Thee, we are already criminals and always will be. This is the nature of intelligence. Intelligence always eventually becomes corrupt and criminal. The ego is a lie and lies are corruption. Your whining about the sad state of the world is not going to change that but I do enjoy reading your stuff. It is fun but remember the clever will be deceived.

Baofahu, that’s Chinese for buffoon or punk. A Chinese nouveau-riche who elbows his way through society.

Der Spiegel observes that the entire country is rapidly becoming a “Baofahu” itself and is getting more arrogant by the day, well aware as it is of its rising might.

Napoleon once famously said: “Let China sleep; when she wakes she will shake the world.”

Too late, the Red Dragon has awakened. Successful Chinese are getting an ever bigger mouth internationally, bordering arrogance.

Der Spiegel opines nevertheless that it is better not to engage in subservience, like president Duterte of the Philipines does, because then you lose all respect.

Worrying about America’s might is superfluous, we should begin to worry about China. Russia already does and quietly seeks shelter in Europe, that for the moment lets its foreign policy (sanctions, pipelines) dictate by Washington. But since Trump that pressure is waning and Europe begins to get a taste for power politics.

It is only a matter of time until Europe will change course vis-a-vis Russia. That moment will probably coincide with the downfall of Merkel, that could be immanent.

    A ecological disaster.
When the oil becomes too hard to get the proper return, its all over for most of the population.
But, we shall see, won’t we?
