Kunstler: The Insane Leading the Blind thumbnail

The NFAC warriors on the march, led by Grand Master Jay.

On our way to becoming a nation of hobos, the Democratic Party’s Antifa shock troops brought out the lethal weapons this weekend, hoping to provoke a Kent State 2.0 type bloodbath that would clinch the election for the mummified remains of Joe Biden, currently reposing in his basement sepulcher. How’d that work out?

In Louisville, Saturday, just after lunchtime, the self-styled Not Fucking Around Coalition (NFAC) was mustering for action and “inspecting firearms” (according to NFAC comandante Grand Master Jay) when one of said weapons accidently discharged and mowed down three NFAC warriors — nicely demonstrating the hazards of fucking around with loaded weapons.

In Austin Saturday night, one feckless BLM mob marcher name of Garrett Foster brought his AK-47 to the street party. When he pointed it at a motorist trapped by the crowd, he got blown away to that great struggle session in the sky, the surprise of his life, I’m sure.

In Portland, OR, police found a bag of loaded rifle magazines and Molotov cocktails in the nearby park that serves as the rioters’ marshaling yard. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler did not attend the evening’s frolics at the sore beset federal courthouse, having successfully subjected himself to ritual humiliation himself a few nights earlier. After midnight Sunday, police declared the Antifa actions “a riot” and made a few arrests.

Up Seattle way, a federal judge struck down the city council’s order against police using tear gas and pepper spray on rioters just in time for another weekend of rioting. SPD Chief Carmen Best declared, “In the spirit of offering trust and full transparency, I want to advise you that SPD officers will be carrying pepper spray and blast balls today, as would be typical for events that carry potential to include violence.” Hours later, after Antifas smashed the windows of ground-floor businesses, set fire to a construction site, and trashed the SPD’s East Precinct building, pepper spray and blast balls were deployed and forty-five of the mob were arrested (on rioting, assault, and other charges), while twenty-one SPD officers were injured.

Down in LA, Antifas broke into the federal Bureau of Prisons Detention Center. In Richmond, VA, rioters set fire to a city dump truck used as a barrier to protect a police station.

So it goes in the insurrection summer of 2020. The nation’s attention is averted from the real action taking place as the economy continues to implode and the US dollar slides on the Forex market — meaning that not only is business failing everywhere, and livelihoods extinguished, but the medium-of-exchange that represents all transactions by any remaining business is accelerating its decline toward the target value: zero. This is unfortunately what comes of the fiscal profligacy prompted by the corona virus crisis, with the Senate poised to introduce another $1 trillion in an emergency assistance spending bill that would reimburse 70 percent of unemployed workers’ lost wages. Over on the House side, Speaker Nancy Pelosi upped the ante to $3 trillion in emergency spending, designed to crater the dollar even faster and, theoretically, assure a Democratic Party victory on November 3 (to govern the smoldering cinder that will be left of the USA).

The counterforce to that lethal inflation is the choking off of capital flows from the tens of millions of mortgages, car loans, and myriad other obligations that can’t possibly be paid in August, September, and October. These tributaries flow into the larger rivers of capital, and when they dry up the entire global banking order may keel over, with those fabled financial weapons of mass destruction, the derivatives, triggering an orgy of counterparty insolvency. When capital stops flowing, you see, money doesn’t just sit there, it vanishes. The question is: can it disappear faster than fiscal policy-gone-wild can summon fresh money into existence? I guess we’ll find out.

The world has gone broke before — the Dark Ages, the Plague Years, the Thirty Years’ War, the Great Depression — but never broke like this, or this badly, or had so many people in it who were going to suffer from being broke. The Antifas on the streets of Portland, Seattle, and elsewhere probably don’t have collateralized loan obligations and other financial esoterica on their minds, but these things lurk somewhere in the collective subconscious behind the nihilism they’ve fallen into these brutal dog days of summer as the insane lead the blind.

In the runup towards the USSR all the talk was about economic oppression of the workers by the capitalists.

In the runup to the next USSR all the talk is about oppression of non-white by whites. And there is nothing whites can do to escape that judgment, they’ll be called “racist” whatever they do. While nukes are always possible, I think the next big war will be fought with a nuclear burst above the center of the US (EMP) which will take out most electronics, including the electrical grid, the internet, and most vehicles. The war could be cyber and economic/financial with the same results for CHINA. While that is happening, the Chinese hyper sonic missiles take out all of the US carriers and groups along with the US bases near China. The “war” could be over in a day, at most.

The US has nothing to counter any of those threats. That is why the US starting a real war with China would be suicide for Amerika. China does not want the US, It just wants to be left alone to progress as a country and people.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/international-risk-assessment-has-just-deemed-us-china-military-conflict-highly-likely

One thing is certain: one will trigger the other.

If the Chinese expel the Anglos from the SCS after an ultimatum (which Anglos will ignore) and China sinks the Anglo fleets and the US mobilizes, THAT could be the triggering point for uprisings within the US, because the risk for GIs of dying in East Asia will be bigger than dying in the US.

If on the other hand, say in November, the elections are bogged down in “civil unrest”, that could be the moment for China to be triggered and throw the Anglos out of the SCS.

There will be no (large scale) exchange of nukes. MAD logic still works.

Regarding the specifics of a war in the SCS, here the map of tat “war theater”:

    https://www.google.nl/maps/@19.388535,114.8222052,5z

It is certain that in case of a real conflict, China will immediately invade Taiwan, the Philippines, Brunei. Depending on the behavior of the governments of Vietnam and Korea, if the latter announce neutrality they will not be invaded.

Down Under will be invaded on the moment the order in the US collapses.

If makati has any sense left in him, he will take his precautions or else end in a POW-camp (unless he has some Asian blood, which I suspect he has)

This is how white American POWs look like in (here Japanese) captivity in the Philippines, not too heroic (you gotta love these diapers):

    https://cdn.historycollection.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/us-captives-in-japanese-pow-camp.-daily-mail.jpg

If makati is 100% white, as he claims he is, he is much better off in Missouri, making good use of his US passport. Perhaps balkanized dave can make himself useful for a change and mediate some modest quarters for his bosom pall.

  32. makati1 on Wed, 29th Jul 2020 4:21 am

Abe, the Philippines will do just fine. You seem to believe that China has to invade to control the Ps. Not so. They are already here and own most of the big corporations. They may station some forces here, but they have no reason to destroy anything, unlike the terrorist US that enjoys destruction as long as it is someone else. I am more afraid of the US bombing the Ps than the Chinese. But, I doubt anything will happen before the US sinks into the 3rd world, soon.

BTW: The US will never get close to the Ps as their fleets will be sunk 2,000 kilometers from the Ps with carrier killer missiles from China. The US would be attacking their supplier of necessities and their banker. Not going to happen.

You did notice the source of this article you ref? The Daily Mail. LOL

  33. Abraham van Helsing on Wed, 29th Jul 2020 4:44 am

“Abe, the Philippines will do just fine. You seem to believe that China has to invade to control the Ps. Not so.”

As long as the Ps are not openly anti-US, or at least credible neutral, they will be invaded, just like Japan was forced by war logic to invade the Ps. Because it was a US colony (stolen from Spain, who stole it from the locals.lol)

This US jew has a better judgment:

    https://www.rand.org/blog/2020/07/china-refuses-to-quit-on-the-philippines.html

    Or these Asians:

    https://www.aseantoday.com/2020/07/how-the-philippines-could-become-a-hotspot-in-the-us-china-rivalry/

“How the Philippines could become a hotspot in the US-China rivalry”

“They are already here and own most of the big corporations. They may station some forces here, but they have no reason to destroy anything, unlike the terrorist US that enjoys destruction as long as it is someone else.”

In a war situation it is not about corporations but about military. If the US and China clash in the SCS, both the US and China will attempt to occupy it.

“I am more afraid of the US bombing the Ps than the Chinese.”

You should be afraid of BOTH Chinese and US bombs. In order for the US to keep the desired naval supremacy over the SCS and keep China surrounded in a naval cordon sanitaire, they need a nearby platform. It is unlikely that Japan will allow the US to wage war against China from its soil. South-Korea same story. Or any other nearby country for that matter. The Philippines are the weakest and hence most desirable place to be occupied by the US, no questions asked.

“But, I doubt anything will happen before the US sinks into the 3rd world, soon.”

That’s not going to happen as fast as you would like.

“BTW: The US will never get close to the Ps as their fleets will be sunk 2,000 kilometers from the Ps with carrier killer missiles from China.”

The US can occupy the Ps from the air.

“You did notice the source of this article you ref? The Daily Mail.LOL”

Are you suggesting the picture is photo-shopped?! Are you suggesting that there were no US POWs in the Ps during WW2?

Again, Missouri isn’t the worst option for you. The Ps is.

  37. We Lost the Battle for the Republican Party's Soul Long Ago on Wed, 29th Jul 2020 9:07 am

    By Stuart Stevens
Mr. Stevens is a Republican political consultant.

After Mitt Romney lost the 2012 presidential race, the Republican National Committee chairman, Reince Priebus, commissioned an internal party study to examine why the party had won the popular vote only once since 1998. The results of that so-called autopsy were fairly obvious: The party needed to appeal to more people of color, reach out to younger voters, become more welcoming to women. Those conclusions were presented as not only a political necessity but also a moral mandate if the Republican Party were to be a governing party in a rapidly changing America.

Then Donald Trump emerged and the party threw all those conclusions out the window with an almost audible sigh of relief: Thank God we can win without pretending we really care about this stuff. That reaction was sadly predictable. I spent decades working to elect Republicans, including Mr. Romney and four other presidential candidates, and I am here to bear reluctant witness that Mr. Trump didn’t hijack the Republican Party. He is the logical conclusion of what the party became over the past 50 or so years, a natural product of the seeds of race, self-deception and anger that now dominate it. Hold Donald Trump up to a mirror and that bulging, scowling orange face is today’s Republican Party.

I saw the warning signs but ignored them and chose to believe what I wanted to believe: The party wasn’t just a white grievance party; there was still a big tent; the others guys were worse. Many of us in the party saw this dark side and told ourselves it was a recessive gene. We were wrong. It turned out to be the dominant gene. What is most telling is that the Republican Party actively embraced, supported, defended and now enthusiastically identifies with a man who eagerly exploits the nation’s racial tensions. In our system, political parties should serve a circuit breaker function. The Republican Party never pulled the switch.

Racism is the original sin of the modern Republican Party. While many Republicans today like to mourn the absence of an intellectual voice like William Buckley. In the Richard Nixon White House, Pat Buchanan and Kevin Phillips wrote a re-election campaign memo headed “Dividing the Democrats” in which they outlined what would come to be known as the Southern Strategy. It assumes there is little Republicans can do to attract Black Americans and details a two-pronged strategy: Utilize Black support of Democrats to alienate white voters while trying to decrease that support by sowing dissension within the Democratic Party. That strategy has worked so well that it was copied by the Russians in their 2016 efforts to help elect Mr. Trump.

In the 2000 George W. Bush campaign, on which I worked, we acknowledged the failures of Republicans to attract significant nonwhite support. When Mr. Bush called himself a “compassionate conservative,” some on the right attacked him, calling it an admission that conservatism had not been compassionate. That was true; it had not been. Many of us believed we could steer the party to that “kinder, gentler” place his father described. We were wrong. Reading Mr. Bush’s 2000 acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention now is like stumbling across a document from a lost civilization, with its calls for humility, service and compassion. That message couldn’t attract 20 percent in a Republican presidential primary today. If there really was a battle for the soul of the Republican Party, we lost.

There is a collective blame to be shared by those of us who have created the modern Republican Party that has so egregiously betrayed the principles it claimed to represent. My j’accuse is against us all, not a few individuals who were the most egregious.

How did this happen? How do you abandon deeply held beliefs about character, personal responsibility, foreign policy and the national debt in a matter of months? You don’t. The obvious answer is those beliefs weren’t deeply held. What others and I thought were bedrock values turned out to be mere marketing slogans easily replaced. I feel like the guy working for Bernie Madoff who thought they were actually beating the market.

Mr. Trump has served a useful purpose by exposing the deep flaws of a major American political party. Like a heavy truck driven over a bridge on the edge of failure, he has made it impossible to ignore the long-developing fault lines of the Republican Party. A party rooted in decency and values does not embrace the anger that Mr. Trump peddles as patriotism. This collapse of a major political party as a moral governing force is unlike anything we have seen in modern American politics. The closest parallel is the demise of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union, when the dissonance between what the party said it stood for and what citizens actually experienced was so great that it was unsustainable.

This election should signal a day of reckoning for the party and all who claim it as a political identity. Will it? I’ve given up hope that there are any lines of decency or normalcy that once crossed would move Republican leaders to act as if they took their oath of office more seriously than their allegiance to party. Only fear will motivate the party to change — the cold fear only defeat can bring.

That defeat is looming. Will it bring desperately needed change to the Republican Party? I’d like to say I’m hopeful. But that would be a lie and there have been too many lies for too long.

You really are clueless about American politics.

The DNC is funded by 43 million individual donors (thus far this year).

postage stamp, cloggo, likes comparing nations as if they were all the same size. There are many very good places for kids in the US but cloggo’s comparison is a cherry picking fraud.

China has developed largest amphibious airplane in the world:

No need to capture the airstrips of the enemy, just approach from sea and dump your soldiers and equipment on the beach. Almost anywhere.

At last! We must finally get away from Chinas dominance on us. This virus has completely devastated the world and left us in huge debt, seriously ill, with possible ongoing health problems, not to mention the heartache it has brought to so many families around the world. Enough, China should be shunned, and made to lay back compensation for what it has done.

The UK just “got rid of EU dominance”, now they want to get rid of Chinese dominance. The UK left the posh 5 star EU hotel because some bloke Nigel Farage told the English that there is 6 star hotel out there, somewhere in the vicinity of Singapore, they should join. What really is going to happen is that Britain will turn into a lonely, isolated 2 star hotel in the middle of the sea, now that the ally of choice USA is stumbling and patriots like Tommy Robinson are force to flee the wrath of leftists.

    Surprisingly candid:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8574323/French-minister-says-No-Deal-Brexit-better-bad-deal.html

“French minister says No Deal Brexit is better than a bad deal and France will not be ‘intimidated’ in upcoming talks”

Best way forward for the EU: just break off talks, fall back on WTO trade and let the British feel first hand what ties with Europe really mean. Next rake in Scotland and Ulster and anticipate the moment a Keir Starmer government will take over in a couple of years and hammer out a Norway-style agreement. And if not? Enjoy being the next Albania.
