Iran will not comply with ‘illegal’ U.S. sanctions

Public Policy

Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said on Thursday U.S. sanctions against his country were “fully illegal” and Tehran would not comply with them.

“We believe that we should not comply with the illegal sanctions against Iran,” Zanganeh told a joint news conference in Baghdad with his Iraqi counterpart, Thamer al-Ghadhban.

Zanganeh also said Iran would not discuss the volume or destination of its oil exports while it remained under U.S. sanctions.

“We have discussed today how to improve cooperation with Iraq on different aspects, especially on oil issues,” Zanganeh said.

Ghadhban, who also said the discussions had touched on energy issues, added that Iraq had not yet reached an agreement with Iran to develop joint oilfields.

He said a decline in global oil prices had stopped and that he expected them to rise gradually.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, of which Iran and Iraq are members, and its Russia-led allies agreed on Dec. 7 to cut output by more than expected, despite pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump to reduce oil prices.

The OPEC deal had hung in the balance on concerns that Iran, whose crude exports have been depleted by U.S. sanctions, would receive no exemption and block the agreement.

Ghadhban said any decision relating to future OPEC cuts would depend on monitoring price developments.

Iran has no reason to obey anything out of DC. It has enough clients that will buy its oil and work around US threats. The US is killing the US dollar one day at a time.

There is no need for Iran to comply with US sanctions, Anglosphere is stumbling anyway.

    #Brexit

Since 1921, thanks to a British supported coup, Persia became a British subsidiary and was taken over after WW2 by the Americans, when the latter managed to destroy the British empire. The Iranian people managed to kick them and their Shah puppet out under Khomeiny, something the US has never accepted and the good Shah knew very well whose puppet he was:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kySR3fpa5s

After the revolution, the US sicked Saddam against Iran…

    http://english.khamenei.ir/d/2015/11/04/4/715.jpg?ts=1457440325000

…in an attempt to use locals to go at the throat of undesired regimes (=regime not yet part of the empire). Notorious examples of US useful idiots in the past:

    – Britain/Poland against Germany
    – Right-wing Cubans against Castro
    – South-Vietnam against North-Vietnam
    – Taliban against Moscow-supported communists in Afghanistan
    – South-American dictators against Moscow-oriented socialist regimes
    – Jihadists against Qaddafi
    – IS and other Jihadists against Assad
    – Ukrainian Nazis against Russia

Just to name a few, there are many more examples. George Soros and Viktoria Nuland never sleep.

But these days, Iran is an “observing member of SCO” and there is no way that China and Russia will let the US get away with demolishing Iran, like they did with Iraq, which ended up in failure anyway, although our local board-loon mobster still thinks the US “owns” Eyeraq, where his tribal buddies at the NYT know much better:

“Sanctions? Russian economy will overtake Germany’s and the UK’s next year”

I am sincerely happy for Russia and hope and expect they will thrive… but the EU still has a 5 times larger economy than Russia. But people from the Americas are inclined to see Europe as a US colony (not entirely unjustified) and love to think that this is a permanent situation (very unjustified assumption):

    https://www.rt.com/news/387313-us-losing-leadership-eu-mogherini/

But it is better that folks from the Americas don’t pay too much attention to Europe, and leave them in the delusion that Europe is about to fall apart, while we in Europe wait for the glorious moment when the US and China will lock horns militarily… our moment of liberation from the Anglo-Zionist globalist oligarchs (hi George!), while in the meantime we meekly buy some token fracking gas from the US (but build Nord-Stream anyway) and obey the orders of the Golden Golem of Greatness and increase our military strength… in the end to be used against the post-Trump ZOG-regime and liberate our fellow Euro’s in America during CW2 and destroy ZOG while we are at it and begin to reconstruct European civilization as a post-libtard, race-based, somewhat 19th century patriarchy. Our kosher friends need not apply for membership of that civilization, they can go to Upstate New York, the final, final solution of the JQ.

“Sanctions? Russian economy will overtake Germany’s and the UK’s next year”
Wow, another bigger is better economist. LOL. Russia is not a diversified economy. It has anemic growth and significant demographic problems. Russia is not investing in its infrastructure and economy like it should and when it does many times it is for corrupt reasons. It spends too much on military for its size. Its population and land mass mean it should be much larger than it is. Since it is a mafia style state corruption will hold Russia back.

“The West is going down and the East is going up. Seven of the world’s 10 biggest economy will be in the East in 2030.”
Another example of projecting…LOL the economic kind not the usual dumbass kind. 3030 is a long way off considering the state of the global economy. Asia has made huge strides that it will likely not maintain here on out. Energy, food, water, and space mean Asia is likely locked around where it is. Get used to it delusional Asiaphile extremist, your party won’t last.

The world is multi-interpretable and you can find any opinion you want to hear after a wicket Google search, a practice empire-dave is all too familiar with:

    Google “Europe collapse”

…and usually ends up at some libertarian goat farmer with an opinionand a blog, located in some Missouri backwater.LOL

Brexit likewise. Here my daily reader from British MSM sources about multi-interpreting mega-event Brexit (#EndOfTheWest).

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-6600433/Andrew-Gimson-Hopeless-MPs-lack-PMs-sense-duty.html

The DM opines that the British political landscape is a waste-land, an opinion many friend-and-foos can sympathize with, because a vital national issue is misused by third rate politicians like BoJo and JeCo, who want to exploit the drama for their private political power ambitions, the country be damned. A real solution should be based on real, long-term sentiments and these are:

    – 50-50 split over EU-membership. Elder, rurals, deplorables, whites want out, oligarchs, business, urbans, youngsters, coloreds want in.
    – The vast majority (except DM readers, but not DM itself) of those who want Brexit, want a soft Brexit, not to jeopardize economic interests. The EU is the UK’s largest trading partner by far. Nothing can replace the EU economically, although idiots, shagging a Chinese woman, think Britain can mimic city state Singapore and get filthy rich.
    – The majority of Westminster is Remain, not because they love the EU so much (they despise it), but from an “if-we-cant-beat-em-join-em” attitude. As French president de Gaulle already knew, the only ambition the British have with the EU is to attempt to destroy it from within, that is why he resisted British membership, until the CIA managed to destroy his presidency with the May 1968 commie uprising in Paris, comparable with EuroMaidan. The core figure of the May 1968 revolution was not (((Viktorya Nuland))), but (((Daniel Cohn-Bendit))).

So how is this real state of affairs going to be converted in decision making?

The default position is no deal, that will happen if the current total dead-lock isn’t broken, a real possibility. Although Labour is majority remain, its leader, the hard-core old-school Marxist Jeremy Corbyn, is suspiciously silent about what he really wants (he really wants to topple May).

some even have the suspicion that he intentionally steers towards a no-deal “solution”, in order to create the social conditions for a Marxist coup, along the lines forum buddy Mobster hopes to use the peak-oil drama for a similar revolution in the US:

    More Brexit interpretation:

    https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/brexit-result-no-deal-remain-second-referendum-norway-model-election-corbyn-theresa-may-a8729821.html

Remainer paper TheIndependent predicts that Brexit is dead and that Remain will be the final inevitable outcome. You could dismiss that as wishful thinking, but the reasoning is interesting.

The author says that parliament just killed (a soft version of) Brexit and claims to know that May “knows” this too.

The reason for no-deal not happening is, according to the author, “because there is no majority in favor for it”. I would cynically add that seldom is there a majority for cancer, death, taxes, war either, but they regularly happen anyway. At least we have to admire the unshaken belief in the solidness of the UK democratic system.

The major flaw in the article is that the author ignores:

    – attitude of Corbyn, the unchallenged Labour leader
    – EU unwillingness to postpone Brexit and interfere with the upcoming EU elections, unless there is a very good reason why an extension of article 50 would aid in bringing a soft Brexit about.
    – It remains to be seen if the EU is really interested in keeping the British time-bomb ticking within the EU. The majority Brexiteers will feel very frustrated. A soft-Brexit is much better than that option. And perhaps even a hard Brexit is a better option, since in that case the EU can asset strip the UK completely, without having to do anything.

    https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-eu-banks/assets-worth-800-billion-pounds-to-shift-from-uk-to-eu-due-to-brexit-ey-idUKKCN1P10SQ

I still think a no-deal is most likely and that after March chaos will set in in the UK. Some in Brussels might hope that the British will cave in and accept Barnier-Raab. But I would bet my money on the British stubbornly going into the 1939 Battle-of-Britain mode and start growing vegetables on the removed pavement of Westminster…

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-6591937/RICHARD-LITTLEJOHN-Lets-revive-Bulldog-spirit-World-War-Two-dig-victory.html

…and hand themselves over to the loving care of the US Soros-bunch, after Trump.

That’s OK. Our future is a European super-power PBM, running the world together with the Chinese.

You are the king google brat clogged plus you 20/7 it with a well-crafted extremist WordPress. You live and breathe this shit and good reason because fantasies are very difficult to craft into a reality.

We can see this thinking in clogged’s Brexit craftsmanship. He massages the clay according to what is best for his PBM fantasy. You know, me good you bad, shit that is always a failure when reality tested. Reality could give a shit about these things. Clogged thinks that a hard Brexit is a good thing for his PBM empire fantasy but what he fails to see is this is just another economic and political cut along with what is happening on the continent. He is fixated on Brexit and ignore the happenings on his own side of the channel. Well I say ignore it is actually worse because what he does is turn bad news into good news. This is the same thing MSM is doing everywhere so clogged is giving us fake news just like the MSM does. This is fake news that is bad news is good news strategy and or just cherry picked facts that are packaged as lies. He combines this with the skills of a Nazi propagandist to pump out copious drivel 20/7 in a manic attempt to make his little grandiose effort at the nonexistent PBM fantasy movement. PBM is a fringe political popcorn fart of a movement going nowhere. This is not to say aspects of it will not coalesce. Improved Russian relations is a big part of this with the populist but nowhere are populist talking about a grand Eurasian confederation like PBM. The populist are talking more about increased sovereignty like the old days when Euroland was more or less Balkanized. The last thing the Euro population wants is domination by Paris and Berlin. The yellow vests are through with EU dominant technocrats railroaded by corrupt France and German globalists.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6601865/May-fights-cross-party-Brexit-plan-surviving-confidence-vote.html

“Brexiteers and Remainers pour into No 10 for talks as May tries to break the Brexit deadlock and pushes back vote on plan B by TWO WEEKS – but Corbyn and Sturgeon REFUSE to join efforts to find a solution

We already knew that Corbyn wasn’t interested in a neat Brexit solution.

The real news is that Sturgeon can be added to the ranks of those who want to torpedo Brexit (hard or soft), in order to pave the way for Scottish independence. We already knew that Sturgeon wanted to use Brexit as an excuse for a 2nd attempt at Scottish independence, new is that apparently she isn’t interested in a nice, soft Brexit solution either. And although she won’t admit it, just like Corbyn she is interested in maximum chaos to achieve their respective aims, albeit for different reasons.

If Westminster really thinks it can afford to crash out of the EU without a deal, the perfect excuse is handed over to Sturgeon to “crash out of the UK” without a deal too. A simple vote in Scottish parliament would suffice, which she can sell as an emergency measure if all sort of shortages and chaos and derailment and departure of large firms will occur, shortly after March 29.

A no deal Brexit just came closer, because both the leaders of Labour and SNP want that to happen.

That is because the real story is not what’s happening in the U.S., and consequently the dollar, it is Europe. And this is reflected in the euro. Gold isn’t breaking out in Japanese Yen or Swiss Francs, at this point only the euro and the British pound. So despite the Project Fear mongers, gold is making the right noises about where things are heading. Gold’s primary role is as a check on the public’s confidence of political institutions. A secular bull market only happens when Gold is rising against every government currency. Given the importance of the EU to the global trade and financial status quo a breakdown there politically has the potential to turn a localized bull market into a secular one.

    Article title “Brexit is dead”

“We have two main political parties that can neither lead, oppose properly, negotiate, plan or take decisions. The Kicking of cans down the road and fantasising is all May or Corbyn can offer.
Britain is also falling behind virtually all serious economies. The highly taxed, regulated and unionised France and soon India overtake the UK in total GDP and in GDP per head, the UK is behind all of Northern Europe except Finland, also C.I’s, IoM, Iceland, Canada and Australia.
Roads falling apart, hardly any Police, NHS and social services creaking, nearly 2 trillion in debt. Consumers in record debt, near record balance of payments deficit and getting worse, with non EU exports falling the fastest.
Investment fell 40% in 2017 and still falling now.
Retail and the Vehicles industries are in trouble. Finance is leaving for Frankfurt, Paris & Dublin.
The pound is down 11-18% from before the stupid vote. Productivity per head is low and flat compared to our competitors.”

“No, it’s not Brexit that’s dead. We’re witnessing the death-spiral of a once-dominant and global superstar, similar to what happens in the cosmos. When death comes knocking, nothing can stand in the way. Hence, the twin-guarantee of Mrs May and Corbyn, safely in place to ensure that inevitable fate.
And just like a dying star, the next phase will be physical disintegration, with Scotland seceding first, followed by Northern Ireland.”

“A simple leave, as you call it, means a 30% reduction in wages over the next 20 years. Corbyn might win an election with that idea, but Labour would not survive a 30% drop in wages.
So, you’re calling on Corbyn to save Putin’s Brexit project by euthanising the British worker. This is the material traitors are made of.”

“1 Vote result was to leave EU
2.Negotiate deal .. 2 years more than enough
    3. EU refuse a deal so at 2 years you have to leave with no deal.

EU have refused any compromise so therefore there will be no deal.. Further delay = further economic damage and there will be no change in the EU position.”

    Reply:

“”3. EU refuse a deal so at 2 years you have to leave with no deal.”

You’re evidently confused. In fact your comment is completely incorrect.

Firstly, it was Parliament that refused the deal, not the EU. And secondly, the deal that Parliament refused but the EU accepted was full of EU compromises.

    “She is my favorite Dem.”

Liar, she is a woman and of color oooh and a hindu. Quit the games clogged. You preach your racist manifesto then try to tell us a different story. Are you ass kissing dirty juan?

The davy-fool again, completely unable to make sense of anything.

First of all, I am completely uninterested in “buddies” or “alliances”. Not with Juan, mak or Antius and certainly not with a punk like you.

Exactly 7 years ago I came here out of concern for “peak oil”. That fear slowly ebbed away and now I couldn’t care less about Heinberg or peakoil superstition or what ever. The only thing that interests me is the departure date of oil and gas.

The reason why I hang on here a little further is habit, promoting renewable energy and “studying the American mind” and launching historical and geopolitical viewpoints, the responses to be reused at a later stage.

Call me a spy, if you will, albeit unpaid (my account is open for everybody, flowing in, mind you). A self-styled agent of European civilization if you will.

About race… there are no good or bad races, just races with a strong identity. Every race is capable of committing acts, ranging from the heinous to the sublime.

The essence of life is Darwinian:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdbD3bbZK_c

If A is hungry and bigger than B, in all likelyhood A will eat B. That applies for plants fighting for sunlight, animals, companies, cities, countries.

America destroyed Europe… because it could (oil thingy). Not forgotten, oh boy, not forgotten.

That’s why I am against mass-immigration, because it is a setup for genocide, as you are going to experience first hand in the coming few years. And you know that very well, you coward. If you really believed in peak-oil, you would not prepare to flee to Italy. But the real reason why you keep Italy in reserve is…

    https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/the-civil-war-on-americas-horizon/

Regarding Tulsi, I like here and respect here, not because of scoring points with Juan, I have said it repeatedly:

    https://peakoil.com/publicpolicy/big-oil-doesnt-like-ev-subsidies-just-its-own-giant-subsidy

    https://www.rt.com/usa/444589-tulsi-gabbard-trump-bitch/

Here btw is a rare Dem I actually like and respect: Tulsi Gabbard. She could become to the Dems what Trump has already become to the Reps: a ZOG-dissident taking over the party from “the elites/establishment”. She had the nerve to travel to Syria and visit Assad on a fact-finding mission. If she would take over the Dems, ZOG would be finished completely.

My enemies are not coloreds (provided they don’t take over my country). My real enemy is the mobster/apneaman-bunch and coward, opportunistic water-carriers like you, willing to cover up for all the deep state crimes and wars and lies (9/11, WW2, etc.).

I support Gabbard, just like I support Trump. Because both these people can be somewhat trusted to let the US fall apart without major bloodletting, very much in contrast to the Soros bunch, that simply intends to erect a USSR-of-color dictatorship, with the demonized whites the main victim.

I am not a “racist” in the sense that I demonize other races, I am indeed a racialist, in that I am proud of the achievements of my country and civilization and I encourage other branches of humanity to do the same with respect to their club.

Again a liar, dirty juan serves your purposes by harassing me. Makattii likewise serves your purposes with rabid, extremist, and obsessive anti-Americanism

“The reason why I hang on here a little further is habit, promoting renewable energy and “studying the American mind” and launching historical and geopolitical viewpoints, the responses to be reused at a later stage.”
You hang because this is a place you can speak freely without being harassed by the Euro big brother.

“My enemies are not coloreds (provided they don’t take over my country).”
Again a liar, you can’t preach the shit you do than turn it off when it servers your purposes.

“I am not a “racist” in the sense that I demonize other races”
Again a liar, everything is about race for you and the new Euroland empire with recolonialization albeit with economic exploitation kinda like China is doing.

Trump is getting ready to sanction Europe now..Your days are over post brexit and when the oil shortage..We will be oil independent by then..Dont worry we will take your industries over..You won’t have a need for them when you turn into into chaos.

There will be an oil shortage in the 2020’s, Goldman Sachs says
    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/11/09/goldman-sachs-there-will-be-an-oil-shortage-in-the-2020s.html

  44. Antius on Thu, 17th Jan 2019 5:13 pm

The oil shortage is here already Mob. What is poorly understood (even in the confines of this board) is that not all oils are created equal. The tight oil coming out of the Bakken, will not produce much fuel that is useful for powering ships, jets, trains or trucks. Basically, it will fuel those hideous SUVs that Americans appear to insist upon, but is much less useful for producing the fuels that actually power real wealth generation.

Therein lies the problem. Official oil production figures are based on liquid volumes. But they crowd together things that really aren’t in the same league. It is this con trick that seems to have given the likes of Cloggie a false sense of security when it comes to Peak Oil.

  45. Antius on Thu, 17th Jan 2019 5:51 pm

“BBC Newsight: every country in Europe and UK are preparing for a no deal Brexit. In March 29, the postwar-period=West=empire are over. Thank God!”

The irony is that most of those that voted leave in the UK did so for two very specific reasons: (1) As a protest against the British political system, which had screwed over the average man; (2) Because the EU was seen as a globalist institution and a conduit for mass immigration into the UK.

The UK is leaving just as Europe turns more nationalist. There is no guarantee of success; but a growing alliance between Italy and Eastern Europe appears to be on the cusp of changing Europe for the better. It is likely to be a very different place in ten years time; a place less concerned with perverse and retarded Marxist ideals and more about looking after traditional interests and real European people.

Far from punishing the shitty British political elites, it could end up making it easier for them to abuse us.

Peak oil is not a myth – The Royal Society of Chemistry

Fracking won’t plug the gap in crude oil’s falling figures, says Chris Rhodes. Oil’s exhaustion is inevitable

Current data for the decline in oil fields’ production indicates that around 3 million barrels per day of new production must be achieved year on year, simply to sustain supply levels. This is equivalent to finding another Saudi Arabia every 3–4 years. In this context, fracking is at best a stop-gap measure. Conventional oil production is predicted to drop by over 50% in the next two decades and tight oil is unlikely to replace more than 6%.

Once conventional oil’s rate of loss exceeds unconventional oil’s rate of production, world production must peak. Production of sweet, light crude actually peaked in 2005 but this has been masked by the increase in unconventional oil production, and also by lumping together different kinds of material with oil and referring to the collective as ‘liquids’. (More recently, the term ‘liquids’ is often upgraded to ‘oil’, which is highly disinformative since the properties of the other liquids are quite different from crude oil.)

American holy cow: a colt on your hip
German holy cow: driving in your Porsche with 220 kmh over the Autobahn

So far there is no speed limit in Germany, other than the speed of light. That could change, although massive protests are to be expected:

    http://www.spiegel.de/auto/aktuell/tempolimit-und-co-regierungskommission-schlaegt-scharfe-massnahmen-vor-a-1248672.html

They want to bring down the speed limit to 130 kmh for environmental reasons.

For me as a Hollander, who loves to drive calmly 10 kmh below the Dutch speed limit of 120 kmh, driving on the German Autobahn is feeling like being surrounded by terrorists. If you overtake a truck, you have to be very aware of potential speed devils at the horizon, who will be at your bumper in no time, give you the humiliating flash, while they are legally in the right.

Boris Johnson delivered a speech earlier this morning:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyV-1xdHKSI

He clearly intends to take over from PM May and simply let the deadline of March 29 pass and default in a no-deal Brexit. It Remains to be seen if he succeeds, but it will deliver a new impetus to the (false) idea that a no-deal Brexit is harmless.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6606595/Boris-twists-knife-Johnson-blasts-kowtowing-Brussels.html

“Boris twists the knife: Johnson blasts May for ‘kowtowing’ to Brussels as he makes his pitch to lead the country – and BACKS No Deal Brexit if the EU refuses to budge on backstop”

I’m OK with that. Anything that blows up the West, get tough with Atlanticist politicians and dump multicult and political correctness and turn to Russia and unashamedly declare Europe as the home of the White Race, in contrast to Anglosphere.
