Let me guess Bloomberg wants us all to believe that the future of US Shale is well on the way to taking over the oil industry. Even though it is well known that US shale has not made any money on an inferior substance with high depletion rates and the red queen effect.

    BloomBORG.

    Resistance is futile.

That’s right, follow the big business model of consolidate and downsize. That is usually the first step toward bankruptcy.

    Dave,

These oil companies that have grown production 800,000 bpd in the last 8 months are doing so to lose money. You should be a natural CEO. Send in your resume. You could drill where there is little chance of oil. That would create losses much faster. You would be a rising star.

RoFL @ boatard. Retards shouldnt try to talk down to people that actually know what they are talking about, dumbass.

    Yo mouse,

If brains were gas yours would not power a fleas motorcycle around a bb.

    @Boat,

“If brains were gas yours would not power a fleas motorcycle around a bb.”

That’s quite the active little imagination you have Kevin. Drug induced perhaps?

boat, producing a bunch of expensive poor quality oil only makes sense if you have people dumb enough to invest in it and it is not your money.

    Dave,

Why then does the market pay so much for this low quality oil. Higher in fact than the heavy oil still considered convential. Did you know around 10 percent of US oil has an api above 50? That’s where condensate starts. Have you ever googled price by api oil chart? If you need help I can find you links. Me thinks you listen to short rather than look up api information yourself.

Shale oil is sold at a discount compared to benchmark price conventional west Texas crude. The links are all there to show you that shale oil and condensate have not made money. The wells are expensive to get going and deplete quickly more links for you to look at if you want to know. It is called Google. Me knows you know not of what you spaketh.

Here you go Dave. This is US production by api.

Here is a chart for price by api.

This shows your rant about fracked oil is baseless, not only that but fracked oil sells higher than the heavier crudes.

Are you another short along with his doomer supporters that can’t read a chart or be a man and just say you were wrong.

  13. Dave thompson on Wed, 26th Apr 2017 6:08 pm

Yea so what. All you are showing is the fact that all the different types of oil go for different prices

  14. Boat on Wed, 26th Apr 2017 6:45 pm

    Dave,

No shyt. That 25~30 api oil is $5-6 dollars cheaper than the rest which is all within 1$ and change. That cheap oil is not fracked oil. You claimed fracked oil was inferior to convential oil and the charts simply say that isn’t so. Refiners will pay more on average for fracked oil than convential.
Refiners want a 32 api mix, what makes fracked oil more attractive is most of it is sweet oil requiring less processing. The heavy imported oil is mainly heavy and sour. Mixing it with light sweet makes it easier to refine.

Hey look everyone, boatietard here thinks he is kind of low-rent wannabe rockerman or…something? FYI, tossing around terms like ‘API’, doesn’t make you any less of a retard, since you dont even know what it means in the first place. And if you did know what it meant, you’d realize it isnt remotely relevant and no one cares anyhow.

Your just one of many of the doomers that can’t look at two charts and just can’t seem to grasp the meaning. But you are good at attacking common sense with personal attacks. I guess reading comprehension just isn’t high on the list of Canadian schools. You would think you might have picked up on a few terms like api in yours on the site. But then I sometimes overestimate the ability for humans to reason.
