Iran oil minister says oil market is ‘fragile and unstable’

Production

The global oil market is “unstable and fragile”, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh told Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak in a meeting in Tehran, Iran state broadcaster IRIB said on Monday.

“We discussed the global oil markets and I said the market is highly manipulated by political agendas,” Zanganeh was quoted as saying by IRIB.

And a clear sky is blue and a loud noise follows lightening! What an intelligent proclamation! (Sark!)

Those who care already know and those who don’t care…don’t care. That includes about 7+ billion people on this planet.

If you are not preparing for what is coming…

“By engaging Iran in a war, Washington knows they would also engage Russia and China – and that’s what they want. The two super powers are their last stronghold to conquer.

And people who are narcissistic and full of themselves, as are the characteristics of neoliberals and neofascists, who want to run the show, they do not see their own limits – they see only their own power with impunity.

Its like a drug for them. They act under addiction… addiction for power and dominance. They are even ready to destroy themselves for power and dominance.”

Note that last sentence: “They are even ready to destroy themselves for power and dominance.”

The US leadership is insane and suicidal. It needs to be put down, but not at the cost of the rest of the world. Economically and financially. Destroy the USD and the house of cards collapse’.

  4. Theedrich on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 1:47 am

Exactly, Mak.  Not at the cost of the rest of the world.  Let’s hope that the slowly gathering movements to replace the USD as global reserve currency pick up steam and defeat the American Ponzi scheme.  That scam is pushing the $22T costs of U.S. inflation and unpayable debt onto every country that uses our dollars.  Only D.C. and (apparently) permitted Euro vassals can print U.S. currency, which is backed by the religious belief (“American values”) that tomorrow will never come.

The danger is that the DeepState gnomes, recognizing that their charade is fading, will foist yet another false flag on the world and use it to justify even more wars.  It’s the American Way.

  5. Cloggie on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 3:31 am

The dollar reserve currency alone is worth 35-40% of US GDP. Without it GDP would sink to 13.2T, think Balkan levels, per capita.

The consequences of such an income implosion would constitute a real treat for geopoliticians. Think strong centrifugal tendencies all over the place, like a creampie placed at the bottom of a fifties household centrifuge.

Which one do you choose to stay unstable, especially since either choice will scare the hell out of someone (This should scare the hell out of you)?

    Trump is giving up on regime change in Venezuela because it’s complicated and he got bored, report says;

President Donald Trump is losing interest in Venezuela after a bid to oust President Nicolas Maduro by US backed opposition figures in April failed, according to the Washington Post.
An official told the Post that Trump had always thought of Venezuela as “low-hanging fruit” on which he “could get a win and tout it as a major foreign policy victory.”

Trump reportedly “chewed out” his national security adviser John Bolton and Latin America policy director Mauricio Claver-Carone as Maduro clung to power.

Strait of Hormuz: US confirms drone was shot down by Iranian missile

One US official identified the drone as a US Navy MQ-4C Triton
A US military surveillance drone has been shot down by Iranian forces while flying over the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the drone had violated Iranian airspace. But US military said it had been over international waters.

IRGC commander-in-chief Maj-Gen Hossein Salami said the downing of the drone sent a “clear message to America” that Iran’s borders were its “red line”.

It comes at a time of escalating tension between the US and Iran.

On Monday, the US defence department said it was deploying 1,000 extra troops to the region in response to “hostile behaviour” by Iranian forces. It has already sent an aircraft carrier strike group and B-52 bombers.

The US has also accused Iran of attacking two oil tankers with mines last Thursday just outside the Strait of Hormuz, in the Gulf of Oman. Iran rejects the allegation.

  11. Robert Inget on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 7:10 am

Trump lost control of Bolton and Pompeo once
    US deployed aircraft carrier groups.
‘Gunboat diplomacy’ gets a life of its own.
(hammers are for driving nails, warships are for
    making war)

  12. Theedrich on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 7:38 am

So now the Persians have shot down a Global Hawk.  As Rob Inget mentioned, a “U.S. official” says the $1¼ million bird was flying “over the Strait of Hormuz” (Hormuz = modern form of “Ahura Mazda,” the “Wise Lord” of Zoroastrianism, which preceded Islam in Persia and gave the Jews the dualistic theology of God and the devil).  The reality:  it was in Iranian air space, violating Iran’s territory, deliberately provoking that country.  The Pentagon wants war so that it can feed the military-industrial complex, no matter the consequences.

Let’s hope that Ahura Mazda prevents American insanity from generating another war.

  13. Cloggie on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 8:03 am

The DM refers to 180 million spy drone, rather unrealistically:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7161485/Iran-says-shot-US-drone-territory-state-TV.html

“It was an unprovoked attack’: US hits out at Iran for shooting down $180million spy drone and says it was in international not Iranian airspace as Tehran issues fake photo and warns it is ‘ready for war’”

  14. Robert Inget on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 8:08 am

Trump backed himself into a corner.

Fear of looking like a weakling, he can’t fire Bolton and Pompeo. Trump is now a War President.

(If trump had ever opened a history book he possibly could have avoided war).

Bolton poses as an intellectual, to Trump anyone who reads qualifies.

As it stands. Iran is waging an economic war against the US and Trump’s sanctions.

Iran is twisting Europe’s arm to drop the dollar as the world’s reserve currency in favor of a basket.
    This will serve several ends.
    1) Trump’s sanctions all become MOOT.
    2) Substituting the euro and yuan for $USD,
    US loses special borrowing abilities.
(Trump borrowed over a Trillion Dollars to
replace lost revenue from his “TaxReform”).

Bolton, one of the Iraq war’s chief boosters, doesn’t go unnoticed in Iraq. IOW’s Iraq will
    support Iran, not the US.

  15. Robert Inget on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 8:25 am

Oh, I believe Cloggie UNDERESTIMATES the value to America of having $USD as the world’s reserve currency.

    The only winner here, Russia.
Putin played Trump, like a fine violin.

Trump will do what he has always done, fire the
head of the FED, replace him with a different ignorant clown, devalue the dollar, stiffing our foreign lenders.

    Fini to “America First”.

    Thank you for your response.

    Please, don’t be offended.

I winced when Hillary C used the term ‘Deplorables’
Once out in the wild Trump people embraced the term. That single pejorative helped galvanize working people behind a wealthy TV reality ‘star’. Plus, it made Hillary out to be snobbish and not a ‘working class hero’.

I doubt anyone could survive eight years in the White House w/o thinking they were somehow better than a steel worker or coal miner.

People that still are either democrat or republican and thinks this matters cannot be trusted to have a functioning mind.

Both parties represent the oligarks and not the people. Both parties are totally reliant on money from corporations and oligarks. This is a proven fact.

None of them represent the people. There is ZERO correlation between what the people want and what the government is actually doing. ZERO – and that is also a proven fact.

And these “features” of modern “democratic” government is by no means isolated to the USA.

What will your bitching, moaning, and complaining achieve. NADA.

Each individual in the US has the right to vote for whomever they choose. 99% of the population is satisfied with the two party system that has existed since the early 1800s.

You are welcome not to vote or vote for the candidate of your choosing. No need to get grumpy with the 99% that disagree with your perspective.

Not going to happen, expect future relations to be frosty, if not outright hostile. Europe should embark on a massive armament program now and aim for superpower status. No more soft power baloney and no more US vassaldom.

Thank God we (humans) have at least one president with common sense.
(Putin threatened to support Iran, Trump didn’t know this?)

Trump comes up with another outlandish lie, few believe. Who cares? Going to war with Iran would end the need for oil and just about everything else. If Iran wanted Nukes they could simply trade oil to N. Korea or Pakistan for a few loose nukes.

    When will people get it?
    Nukes are good for nothing.
Since 1944 we’ve come up with far better ways of killing ‘enemies’ and not destroying the very commodity we seek.

Just thought. War with Iran could solve our global overpopulation and warming problem. With so few people remaining on Earth they would have little problem feeding each other.

  27. Duncan Idaho on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 1:43 pm

There is no way that Americans, in their exceptional arrogance, would imagine the Iranians could possibly shoot such an expensive piece of hardware down.

  28. Duncan Idaho on Thu, 20th Jun 2019 2:14 pm

Whatever attack plans were drawn against Iran, they are now headed for the shredder.

Iranians have the latest ground to air missiles,
including Russia’s S 400 the unqualified best anti missile (mobile) weapon in the world.

Iranians also have the latest offensive SS missiles
capable of killing entire nuclear aircraft carrier groups.

Engaging Iran in a full scale conflict will be the bloodiest affair since The Battle of Antietam or Gettysburg.

Iran will continue to block unfriendly shipping
and expect a like response. Each side will use
proxies to lessen a direct confrontation.

“The Global Hawk drone, made by Northrop Grumman Corp, is used for intelligence-gathering over water and coastal areas, and costs around $130 million, according to industry experts.”

The U.S. is now using the same gameplan against Iran that it used to force Japan into suicidally attacking Pearl Harbor in 1941:  in that year, it “sanctioned” Japan by cutting off most of its badly needed oil (see details in Robert Stinnett’s Day Of Deceit:  The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor).  Now, it is cutting off Iran’s ability to export oil and starving its population.  In both cases, the objective was, and is, to force the target country to react in desperation like a cornered rat and attack “American assets.” (In 1941, Hawaii was not yet a state.)

The Republicans now, like the Democrats then, love war.  So they need a “justification” to whip up the populace into a frenzy of mindless belligerence.  Torpedos be damned.  Full speed ahead.  And threaten the world with nukes.

    Yup.  Heroic Captain America.

Now, it is cutting off Iran’s ability to export oil and starving its population.

That will piss off a lot of Eurasians (EU, India, China, Japan), who will be starved of oil as well. Could be considered an act of war. America+UK against the rest of the world, what could possibly go wrong?

That’s true, but not in 2016. Until today DJT is treated hostile by the US deep state. And don’t bring up (((Sheldon Adelson))), he is merely an attempt at damage control. DJT is considered a maverick and “out of control” by the kikes. He is only president because he has money of his own.

Trump hijacked the Reps from jewish vetting and destabilized the US political system, probably for ever.

Trump is NOT part of the US oligarchic sanhedrin. He tries to build a wall (like the Europeans succeeded in a matter of a few weeks) but is sabotaged by the Dems. He hasn’t started a war yet and he is constantly waging
war against the media. He is the trojan horse within the US political system and preparing the US for CW2, whether he wants it or not.

So far Trumps policies are working perfectly:- shut off Iran’s oil production. Between Venezuela, and Iran the US has been able to pull about 5 mb/d off the market. 5 mb/d over a one year period (1.83 Gb) is more than the entire present US crude inventory (presently 1.32 Gb) less SPR. Without that 5 million missing barrels, WTI would now be about $10/ barrel. Then Trump really would have a problem.
