“I have cut and burned hundreds of loads of wood and it sucks. Mowed 6 acres for 8 years, it sucked. Planted many a large garden, it sucked. Now I see professional sports in person and that dosent suck. Not a doomer but lived that country life. It sucks.”

Hundreds of loads? That’s crazy Boat! We go through less than two loads a winter. How big was your fireplace?

We’ve owned two cabins, one in the Cariboo, and one in Whistler. Sold the last one in 2001. The things we we both missed the most, were the fresh mountain air, the peace and quite, the night skies, and a wood burning stove.

What the hell were you mowing? Please don’t tell me you had 6 acres of lawns. That would be completely ridiculous. And planting a garden doesn’t take any effort at all. Soil amendment, weeding, and fall clean up do, but there are ways of making all of those chores much easier.

The older I’ve gotten, the more I can’t stand being packed into buildings with tens of thousands of other people, that I don’t know, and don’t want to know. It makes me feel totally claustrophobic now.

Hundreds of loads of firewood, and mowing 6 acres, isn’t exactly what I would call ‘the country life’, at least not the kind of country life that I’ve ever heard of. And I’m really glad to hear that it sucked for you. Please tell everyone that you know, how terrible country life really is. 🙂

Great content you have here. I enjoy every bit of all you put out. Google Maps have aided many people’s lives. It does more than just get you from point A to point B; it also offers several other useful functions. This article explains common Google Map features, and hidden ones and will teach you how to drop a pin.
