Our do-goody “scientists” are obsessed with power. Overnight they have been transformed into demigods informing politicians who must at all costs be obeyed by the proles.  Yes, our idiots savants know what is good for you, and we will imprison you if you object to their dictates as interpreted by us.  So go bankrupt and commit suicide out of despair.  Because we know better than you.  For, as Queeny Hilary Clinton decrees, “A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”

As it turns out, a few colleges around the nation accept no federal money, and are thus free from federal orders regarding political correctness.  One of them is Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, whose president, Larry Arnn, Ph.D., actually thinks for himself.  In an insightful piece of the March/April edition of Imprimis (“ImprEEmees,” Latin for “in the first place”), a free monthly digest of educational and political commentary, he raises some vital points about the current house arrest being imposed on the nation by the gods in Washington, D.C.:

“As I write, I am not confident that I know whether all of the current economic shutdowns in the United States are necessary to stop the virus.  Every hour I read some authoritative person saying yes, and the next hour I read some authoritative person saying no.  What I am confident about is that we were not prepared for this pandemic, and yet we spend an enormous amount of money on a centralized bureaucracy that now operates top down from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other agencies to Hillsdale, Michigan, and tens of thousands of other communities.

“[T]he CDC was created in 1942 as the Office of National Defense Malaria Control Activities, and in 1946 was renamed the Communicable Disease Center.  For many decades it focused its full efforts on its original mission:  viruses and communicable diseases.  But by the 2000s, the CDC, like most executive agencies, had become largely independent of political control and lost its focus.  It had widened its work to include chronic diseases and addictions, nutrition, school health, injuries, and — a telltale sign of ideological corruption and mission creep — racial and ethnic approaches to community health.  It is a logical fact that if you favor some people you must disfavor others.

“More dangerous in the long run than the failure of our health experts is the idea that they and others with scientific expertise should run our government.  President Trump has been consistently criticized by the media and others on the Left for his frustration that our economy has been shut down and for his eagerness — whether through a successful treatment for the virus or some other means — to restart the economy and get people back to work.  Time and again he has been challenged as to whether he would dare go against the advice of his medical experts.

“Economist Brian Wesbury predicted that keeping the economy closed until Easter would cost the economy three percent of its capacity;  until the end of April, eight percent;  and until the end of May, 15 percent.  There are 30 million businesses in America, which means the loss of nearly a million of them at a minimum and 4.5 million by the end of May.  That is 4.5 million people who have built enterprises with sweat and toil and always at risk, not to mention the millions more who they employ.

“Wesbury also wonders why these shutdown orders are so sweeping.  Why cannot landscapers work?  Why cannot factories be allowed to remain open, even if it means increasing the number of shifts?  He mentions that the highest suicide rate in America’s history was during the Great Depression.  What expertise, by itself, can take all these factors into account?  I personally wonder why hospitals here in Michigan are running out of money and laying people off and worrying about closing because our Governor has forbidden “non-essential” surgeries.  If the people being laid off cannot help with coronavirus treatments, why are they not allowed to do other work?

“Critics have made much of the fact that [the $2 trillion “relief” bill passed by Congress] included $25 million for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.  That fact is indeed indicative of the lack of seriousness with which so many, especially in the House of Representatives, take the plight of the millions who have lost their jobs due to the shutdowns.  But there was a lot more in the bill that had nothing to do with relief for people thrown out of work or with helping our economy recover:  $75 million each for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, $324 million for diplomatic programs, $25 million for salaries and expenses in the House of Representatives, $78,000 for the Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development, and the list goes on.  This bill is unworthy of a great democracy in a time of crisis.

“It is sad to see others in government who lack that sense of frustration, not to mention the eagerness among some governors to outdo one another by announcing shutdowns that extend beyond where anyone claims to know that shutdowns will be necessary.”

But our Commissars will continue to extend the range and temporal length of their arrogance.  The fantasy that they are acting only “for the good of the people” is a lie promulgated by Democrat Leftists everywhere.

The anti-Trump media pushes the drivel of the Demonic Sinistrals  at every turn.  It is impossible to listen to even five minutes of their so-called “news” without becoming nauseated by their hatred of all things normal and traditional.  The nation is, we are told, in a “war.”  If true, we would remember that in an actual war those who give aid and comfort to the enemy are regarded as traitors.  And everyone knows what in such a case a normal country does with traitors.

As usual Theed, you see the truth of things, but still retain your fixation on so-called lefty democrats’ in the uS. Well, again for you, the uS is a one-party state. Its wars, its deceits, its epic greed and incompetence, are as amerikans like to say, ‘bi-partisan’ in nature. The group you are so concerned about are neither ‘leftists’ in any real sense, nor are they ‘democrats’ either, however one wishes to define that open-ended term.

Bottom line is, we are all being scammed hard-core by CV-19, and it does not matter where you live. My country is busy conforming to the covid-pys-ops with even more enthusiasm than those in the south. And last time I looked, the uS ‘democratic’ party, didn’t run a single candidate in our elections here.

Strange that you seem to imply all the worlds problems would be solved, if more merikans would just do the ‘right’ thing and vote so-called ‘republicans’ into office in perpetuity, lol.

The Chinese haircut begins. China can no longer afford this plus globalism has legged down so this BRI development is now mal-investment and redundant. Many projects are not even finished. What a waste in a typical Chinese fashion.

“China’s ‘Belt And Road’ Partners Beg Beijing For Bilateral Bailouts”
    https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/chinas-belt-and-road-partners-beg-beijing-bilateral-bailouts

“China’s cash-strapped partners in their “Belt and Road” (BRI) global development project have been begging Beijing for debt relief amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Financial Times. And according to Chinese policy advisers, the Xi regime is considering several options – including suspending interest payments on loans from the country’s financial institutions. That said, outright debt forgiveness is unlikely. According to Washington-based consultancy RWR Advisory, Chinese financial institutions have lent an estimated $461bn for BRI projects since 2013 – making it the largest development initiative in the world. “We understand a lot of countries are looking to renegotiate loan terms,” said one researcher at China Development Bank, which spearheads hundreds of billions of dollars in BRI projects globally along with the Export-Import Bank of China. “But it takes time to strike a new deal and we cannot even travel abroad right now. The BRI loans are not foreign aid. We need to at least recoup principal and a moderate interest,” said the researcher on condition of anonymity.”

    US wishful thinking.

“If you would have actually read the article you posted (and understood it!) you would have noticed that China has a host of third world countries by the balls. Rest assured that China will let itself be re-compensated for debt relief, like access to mining or military basis.”

Maybe instead of believing everything you read, think for yourself. LMFAO. Of course, articles will have an opinion. I pulled out the facts of the haircut. Think of the oil hair cut China is getting too! Rest assured, last I looked zero percent of zero is still zero! Bad debt is worse than losing interest which is the return advertised. When you also lose part or all of the principal then you get a double hit. This is in store for China. It is already happening within China and now their export of over capacity will turn to bad debt. People like you that do not understand economics and business look only to the numbers as a “see” “here you go we are better than you” and then have egg on their face with stupidity. Not all is lost but between the Chinese lies about their economy and this BRI bad debt. China’s economy is much less than stated.

  12. Abraham van Helsing on Fri, 1st May 2020 8:04 am

China is a creditor here, meaning they are lending money they don’t need themselves. That’s quite a luxury position. Nowhere in the article it is said that China will get a “haircut”, that is just your wishful thinking.

  13. Davy on Fri, 1st May 2020 8:15 am

“China is a creditor here, meaning they are lending money they don’t need themselves. That’s quite a luxury position. Nowhere in the article it is said that China will get a “haircut”, that is just your wishful thinking.”

MY GOD, you are clueless! China is lending money they don’t have and lots of that is dollars they don’t have but need. They are lending it recklessly by employing lots of people and resources that are real and could be employed elsewhere in positive ROI. China has the worst debt profile of any nation and the worst mal-investment in infrastructure and industrial overcapacity. They are a middle-income country caught in the export trap. The planet is paying for this. Yea, yea, the west is just behind them with their own ills but much more restrained and reserved. Smart growth does not come from 6%-20% growth over a long period. Smart growth is gradual and with periods of cleansing. China has done almost nothing to clean up its bad debt and zombie industries. They just keep papering over it. They are not the powerhouse Sinophiles want to believe they are. In some very small ways, they are laughing a bit because the rest of the world has bankrolled this drive to growth.

    https://www.paris-berlin-moscou.org/nouvelle-actualite-de-paris-berlin-moscou/

Here in 1967, at an age of 77, he is trying to tear off Francophile Quebec from Canada and almost succeeded:

In the upcoming identitarian 21st century, I expect Quebec to become independent from a balkanizing Canada and renew relations with France.

De Gaulle was from the former Flemish-Dutch city of Rijsel, that under Louis14 was captured from the Dutch and renamed “Lille”. And while he was at it, lou14 also took the Flemish-Dutch towns of Kales (Calais) and Duinkerken (Dunqerque).

Henri de Gaulle came from a long line of parliamentary gentry from Normandy and Burgundy. The name is thought to be Dutch in origin, and may well have derived from van der Walle (“from the rampart, defensive wall”).

Pictures from an era gone by. The last years of de Gaulle:

He was ousted from the presidency by the leftist Mai 1968 revolution, a CIA operation and color coded revolution, led by the kike Daniel Cohn-Bendit.

Although officially an ally of the Anglos, in reality he tried to sabotage their war effort at every turn of the way. De Gaulle was pro-German and very well understood that WW2 was nothing but a US-Soviet setup to destroy Europe and colonize it. He was in a paradox situation that he needed the Anglos to get the German occupation undone (entirely provoked by Anglo-French behavior in 1939-1940), with the Americans leading from behind, pushing Europe into war by design, in the interest of US and Soviet globalist kikes. When after Normandy de Gaulle set foot on French soil, he occupied most of France before the US could and prevented that France would be colonized like happened to the Germans. Both Roosevelt and Churchill hated de Gaulle and at some point were on the verge of killing the obstinate 2 m tall Frenchman. There is a profound reason why de Gaulle was not in Yalta: he was not invited when the European loot was divided between the US and USSR:

Also the son from a NYC-born mother and useful idiot Churchill played a marginal role in Yalta. Despite some weak protests from his side, the British empire was eventually dismantled by the US.

The Proles, I mean Poles, whose liberty ostensibly was the reason for the outbreak of WW2, was parked in the Soviet empire without a peep.

WW2/Nuremberg, one giant pack of lies.

Fortunately China exists, the key ingredient to get Europe and the white race finally liberated from disastrous Anglo-Zionism.

“Delusional Davy has been posting ZH nonsense on China that has been systematically proven wrong for over 5 YEARS! Anyone who believes him or that ZH nonsense is a fool!”

I post more ZH than anyone here of course. I have been right and you fuckwacks wrong about most everything over the years. I am emotional and mentally disturbed so it is understandable that most of my points are wrong. I get my sock ass kicked on the moderated side whenever I actually say something. Most of the time my comments are not worth anyone’s time. They are just stupid braggart things of me telling everyone how wonderful I am.

“ I don’t think anyone on this site has believed anything Davy has posted here in years, though. If I remember correctly the last person he managed to fool was Anthius, but that was almost a year ago.

Also true. Obviously you listen to everything I post or you would not have made this comment. I obsessively stalk and troll you daily and for years now. It is a delusional feeling to know I fucked you up so bad! So, I am mainly just projecting about my own inadequacies with my lame comment. I make comments on the moderated side that are complete lies. I don’t have a farm, bees, hens and other shit. I am a psychopathic liar. Most people know this.

“ It did take Anthius a while to get it, but I think in the end he did, but I’m not really sure because I hardly ever read these threads anymore.”

I engage in stupid comments with Antius. I’ve probably stolen Antius ID too, but If I have, Ive forgotten. I am a low IQ lunatic and that is why I stalk and troll. If I had a mind I’d get a clue and take a hike.
