Online videos showed what appeared to be major structural damage.

The station is the centerpiece of a new multibillion-dollar high-speed rail project.

A massive fire on Sunday ripped through a new high-speed train station leaving at least five people injured in Saudi Arabia’s coastal city of Jeddah.

Videos posted on social media showed black plumes of smoke billowing out of the Haramain train station and helicopters flying over the scene. Online videos showed nearly a dozen people on the roof of the structure.

The fire department is currently fighting the blaze with air support, and has brought many sections of the blaze under control.

Those injured have been taken to hospital, according to the official Twitter account of the Mecca region.

It stated that 16 medical teams were working at the scene and had treated another four injured at the site.

There was no immediate known cause of the fire.

The €6.7 billion ($7.3 billion) Haramain Railway was inaugurated last September to connect the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina with the Red Sea city of Jeddah with electric trains traveling up to 300 kilometers per hour (186 miles per hour).

Officials described the 450-kilometer (280-mile) line as one of the most important transportation expansion projects in the kingdom’s rail network and the biggest electric speed train project in the Middle East.

The project aligns with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 reform program aimed at weaning the economy off oil dependence and creating jobs for the country’s young population.

The advantage of super cheap solar filmis is that you no longer need to be critical about installation angle. You can glue them to vertical walls, or cover roofs, not directed to the south:

Cloggo, that’s a niche incremental advancement. It is still not commercial per your comment . Get back to me later in the year with your short skirt and Pom Pom dance.

Three months ahead is already too far in the future for empire dave. That’s why he is destined to miss major developments, right in front of his noose. Like petovskite cells or cw2.

Short term thinking only. Just in time.

Well, the Repugs are going to have to go with the Fat Boy, or make other plans.
Lets be honest– an impeachment for a lier and scammer is not a problem for our Repug friends– they seem to be free of moral actions.
Of course, the Dims are not much better, they just need to hold their noses, which often puts them at a disadvantage.

Just because it goes to market (maybe in 3 months) does not mean it is a success. Like I have said of you over and over you have little understanding of economics, finance, and business operations.

“I lived for peace and I died for my principles.”

~~epitaph inscribed on tombstone written by President Sadat in anticipation of murder~~

Yeah, forgot that only a Democratic or “Dim” President, Jimmy Carter, has successfully negotiated a true and lasting Middle East peace agreement. Forty years ago exactly the Camp David Peace Accord was signed between two historic enemies- Israel and Egypt. Ever since then peace and cooperation have remained between the two countries.

When Begin and Sadat were asked why Carter succeeded while all other presidents failed, they replied that Carter could be TRUSTED to be a fair arbiter.

Yes, JFK and Carter were honorable men. Very much unlike Dems like LBJ [*], Clinton and to a lesser extent Obama.
