Restoring consumer confidence in ethanol will be the focus of an agreement forged between oil companies and the Federal Government yesterday to increase the use of bio-fuels.
Shell, Caltex, Exxon-Mobil and BP committed themselves to developing their own plans to lift Australia’s biofuels use to 350 million litres by 2010 after a meeting Prime Minister John Howard in Sydney.
