Murphy Oil Corp. of El Dorado said Tuesday that two exploration wells it drilled off the coast of the Congo in Africa failed to yield any significant amounts of hydrocarbons.
“These two exploration wells were drilled back to back after our first well, Azurite Marine No. 1, which we previously announced as a significant oil discovery,” said Claiborne P. Deming, Murphy Oil’s president and CEO.
