The WTI $49.90 is testing the support line again. I think it will bounce off it again. But then again...I'm always wrong.

The Coronavirus is perhaps turning into a real black swan event.

Finally some much-needed self-reflection.

BOLD PREDICTIONS
-Billions are on the verge of starvation as the lockdown continues. (yoshua, 5/20/20)

HALL OF SHAME:
-Short welched on a bet and should be shunned.
-Frequent-flyers should not cry crocodile-tears over climate-change.

Looks like we have a bounce off the support line.

The WTI price hasn't violated the falling trend line of resistance and still keeps bouncing of the rising trend line of support.

Magic.

Nobody cares about your charts that predict NOTHING. Short term, with economic fears driving financial markets, the normal assumptions about longer term supply/demand factors can easily get overwhelmed by fear. Just like with ANY short term market panic.
Given the track record of the perma-doomer blogs, I wouldn't bet a fast crash doomer's money on their predictions.

And you're just figuring this out? Ever hear of the 1918 flu epidemic? That's a favorite doomer scenario. You need to brush up on your doomer handbook.

Of course, unlike the usual suspects around here claim, short term economic slowdowns don't mean global instadoom, much less permadoom, though they'll no doubt bray it does incessantly.

Yoshua has detached from reality in how he is ascribing so much meaning to daily chart movements. It's sort of like the double rainbow guy. WHAT DOES IT MEAN????

The answer = nothing.

WTI 47.95

The technical chart has been damaged. The WTI is now trying to make a new bottom.

Oil producers need oil prices above 50 on average just to break even.

It was, it is now $46.39. This thing is going down faster than a lead submarine. Somewhere around $40 I expect the industry to start really flying apart. The oil age may end a decade sooner that the Etp Model projects. Next time we will have to include a Virus Variable. The world's debt bomb is likely to go off as oil does its last swan dive into a heap of economic wreckage.

Well what might happen? Say this goes really bad and we lose ten percent of the current world population. That would put the population back where it was in 2008 and presumably oil demand would drop back to 2008 levels (73.6mbpd) or perhaps a bit lower due to new efficiencies like electric cars and wind turbines as well as the disruption to supply chains. Now 2008 was the year of the financial crisis and oil prices started out around $150/bl and dropped down to around $50/bl so lets take the bottom as we are all doomers then depress that down to 60 mbpd and $40/bl. Bad? Yes. End of the world? No.
On the bright side if there is one CO2 emissions will also probably drop back to 2008 levels helping out the climate.

Good to know Short. So, after this crash the really critical marker is the WTI price. The dominoes are falling 8O

WTI 45.16

Russia is one of the major oil producers and dependent on oil revenues.

Yesterday Russia bombed a NATO members (Turkey) HQ in Syria. Officially 33 dead.

Today Russia sailed war ships through the Bosporus towards Syria.

The ETP Bozo is an effing retard. The ETP Bozo's WTI$ forecast is $11.79 this year and $2 in 2021.

Hey the Turks wanted to embrace the Russians and buy a defective AA missile system from them instead of the USA. I guess the Russians didn't provide the code so they could actually shoot down a Russian plane bombing Turkish troops. Dance with the devil and I have no sympathy. Dead Russians, dead Turks. Its all good in my book.

If the Turks and Russians go to town, NATO should sit back and laugh. I know I will.

Yes, of course it is. Because you know so much about economics, and all of your forecasts are spot on.
