The US crosses a red line

American idiots now claim that no country has any territorial sea waters. Since they "don't recognize" the territorial limit of Russia in the Gulf of Peter the Great. As evident from the map there is no ambiguity in Russia's territorial waters limit in this region.

So I guess Washington blowhards will be perfectly happy when Russian warships come within 2 nm of US coasts and Russia declares that it does not recognize US territorial water limits.

America is really going into the toilet. We have the piracy of Iranian oil tankers with an illegal application of US domestic laws to international waters, now these exceptionalist morons think they can wave their dicks around in Russia's territorial waters.

Biden is going to learn that he is not dealing with the Russia of the 1990s with a comprador drunk in charge. Americans should get ready for some salvage operations on their sunk ships. I am sure there will be lots of crying in the fake stream US dominated media and UN theater when that happens.

So let's pretend that there are NEVER ANY disputes over territorial waters between ANY two counties, to try and project a greatly inflated sense of alarm, laced with implied doom.

Sure. Just like, for a blatantly obvious example, everything has been perfectly ROSY between China and the US re naval navigation rights and Chinese territorial waters. NOT.

So do we need to hide under our beds?

By the way, Biden isn't the POTUS yet. Why are you whining about Biden for this? Are you that addled, or just trying political distortion to the max?
Given the track record of the perma-doomer blogs, I wouldn't bet a fast crash doomer's money on their predictions.

Outcast - Good points. And now another clarification from Capt. Obvious: Through out history the RIGHTS of any country has been determined by the ability of that country to enforce those RIGHTS. At one time Germany had the RIGHT to slaughter millions of Jews and other civilians they did not care for. And they maintained that RIGHT until defeated by more powerful nations. IOW until some other nations exercised their RIGHT to make the rules.

I cannot see that dynamic change anytime soon. If ever. Of course nuclear weapons have complicated the game some what. Consider where N. Korea is today and will be in the future if they develop a inventory of deliverable nukes.

What disputes are there you sanctimonious twit. There are no disputes in these territorial waters. This is not the economic exclusion zone you moron. While your precious hate propaganda media routinely pretends that "incursions" into the EZZ are territorial violations when they clearly they are not, here you have some f*ckwit US admiral claiming that the the world-recognized 7nm, and 14nm territorial limits are not recognized by the USA.

This is the USA waving its dick at the residents of Vladivostock who have suffered through a major ice storm, like the one in Canada and northern USA in 1998. No sign of any "freedom of navigation" or saving some oppressed minority on the horizon.

Americans are so full of shit.

"Are you invading, or just lost? Russian navy threatens to ram US warship"
https://www.rt.com/russia/507633-navy-t ... ip-border/

As I always say, all we need to do is wait in peace and be patient with the USA. Americans are doing a great job of destroying the USA and the eventual collapse of the American Empire is completely inevitable, it is a matter of when, not if. Let's just keep on allowing them to waste trillions on their military while the rest of us focus on making the world a better place. The USA is in obvious political, social, environmental, economic, financial, technological, and diplomatic decline. Just look at how the USA has completely mismanaged the COVID-19 pandemic.

Let us all continue to be patient. Americans don't need any help in destroying the USA; they are doing an EXCEPTIONALLY good job of it all by their lonesome. This is absolutely not surprising considering how exceptional the USA is at destroying nation states.

As a Uruguayan citizen I am grateful for all the resources the US wastes attacking and destroying countries that are not Uruguay, because it distracts it from attacking and destroying my country. The USA hasn't caused much damage in Uruguay in the last three decades, and I am very happy for that.

MOSCOW, Nov 24 (Reuters) – Russia said on Tuesday one of its warships caught and chased off a U.S. destroyer operating illegally in its territorial waters in the Sea of Japan, but the U.S. Navy denied wrongdoing by its vessel and accused Moscow of making excessive maritime claims.

The Admiral Vinogradov, a Russian destroyer, verbally warned USS John S. McCain, a U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer, and threatened to ram it in order to force it to leave the area, prompting it to return to neutral waters, Moscow said.

Russia said its Pacific Fleet warship had been tracking the American destroyer in the Peter the Great Gulf, and that the U.S. vessel had violated Russia’s territorial waters at 0317 GMT by going two kilometers beyond the sea border.

But the U.S. Navy said its warship had been in international waters throughout as it carried out a “freedom of navigation” operation to assert its rights and challenge what it said were Russia’s excessive maritime claims.

.”..the United States will never bow in intimidation or be coerced into accepting illegitimate maritime claims, such as those made by the Russian Federation,” said Lieutenant Joe Keiley, 7th Fleet spokesperson.

“The Russian Federation’s statement about this mission is false,” he said. “USS John S. McCain was not ‘expelled’ from any nation’s territory.”

The U.S. destroyer made no further attempts to enter Russian waters after leaving the area, Moscow said. The Admiral Vinogradov was continuing to observe its movements and another vessel, a corvette, was dispatched to the area, it added.

Such incidents at sea are rare, but they underscore the poor diplomatic and military relations between Russia and the United States whose ties are languishing at a post-Cold War low.

The last remaining major arms control pact between the former Cold War foes is due to expire in February despite months of talks to find a replacement.

Also, President Vladimir Putin has yet to congratulate U.S. Democratic President-elect Joe Biden with his Nov. 3 election victory over President Donald Trump. Yeah, Russia, which never EVER invades another country or takes any action whatsoever which might cause a territorial dispute. (Ever hear of places called Crimea and Ukraine, for example)? Or Afghanistan?

A dispute has existed over that area since 1984 in the bay the incident occurred, per the article you linked to. (Did you bother to read it?)

The US insists that Peter the Great Bay, where the USS 'McCain' was sailing, was improperly claimed by the USSR in 1984. Ever since, Moscow has stuck by the Soviet demarcation of the waters, which was determined by drawing a straight line between its adjacent coasts.

Of course, given all the military adventurism in US history, this is VERY much the pot calling the kettle black, but boys will be boys where military power and territorial disputes come into play.

But I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you that such a disagreement could occur.

Stupid as this situation may be, it's far from clear to me that it's definitely 100% the US at fault here.

Nearly 40 years later it’s still a regional cornerstone as we work towards a world without nuclear weapons.

What a hypocrite.

It is Pentagon Penny's ALP that greenlighted US nuclear B52s to be stationed in the NT...

And ridiculously expensive AUKUS nuclear subs to be purchased and housed in Australia.

Australia & the region sees through your hypocrisy.
The region hates AUKUS

Russia has no right to invade Ukraine, steal their land, and then claim to have created a new "territorial limit."

The lands Russia is occupying are stolen from Ukraine.

The new territorial limits have no legal validity.

When Ukraine attacks the Russian invaders in Crimea or blows up Russian ships supplying Crimea, they aren't crossing any "territorial limit.' They are simply defending their own lands in accordance with international law.

Image
Ukrainian attacks on the Russian invaders in Crimea DO NOT cross international boundaries. Crimea is part of Ukraine and the Ukrainians have ever right to defend their lands from the Russian invaders.

Cheers!

The United States invades, coerces, and threatens more countries than all other nations on Earth combined.

Congressional Research Service data admit that the US military has launched 469 foreign interventions since 1798, including 251 since 1991.
