There would be little point in attacking the USA with nuclear weapons. You simply assure your own destruction with our SLBM counter-strike.

MBS, respectfully, when you post stuff like that in the interest of making a political statement or getting attention or entertainment or WHATEVER, what you risk is being ignored or taken far less seriously when you have something serious to say or an important and realistic topic to discuss.
I make plenty of mistakes (which I cheerfully own up to when pointed out IF I agree that I made a mistake). But I never deliberately try to mislead or just waste peoples' time.
Just saying.

MBS is addicted to the adrenaline rush of war and rumors of war. Kind of a war "fanboi". It's really the only reason he posts, and why his headlines are full of capitals and +++ and !!!. It's just a drug to him in the same way Starving Lion saying everything's a ponzi scam is a drug to him.

Sometimes, when looking at the posters on Peak Oil, I am reminded of the "Mr Men" series of children's books, the books are based on characters who have a single personality attribute. Mr Happy, Mr Grumpy and so on.
Here we have Mr War, and Mr Ponzi, I'm sure many of you can think of others.

Does anybody else think it is telling that when Putin put up that short video of his new missiles the other day it was of an attack on Florida of all places? It could be interpreted that he believes that the Cuban missile crisis is still a definitive fulcrum in the minds of your average American. It may signal how ignorant he is concerning how Americans think. Of course, it may also indicate he knows exactly how Russians think. There's a lot of bluff and bluster inherent to how this kind of guessing game goes down, when the real audience you are playing to is the home crowd. The US, and its allies, played into that as well, when they recently stuck the destroyer USS Donald Cook alone in the sea near Syria while firing from a safer distance, such as from the Red Sea. They didn't give the corner Putin had backed himself into too much definition. They let him say he could or would have done a thing, while remaining privately relieved he didn't have to.
