While it may get as dry as during the dust bowel it will not be the same conditions. In the thirties farmers were tilling every field every year leaving no sod to hold the soil against wind erosion. Methods today include no-till farming and straw and other plant waste is left on the fields as mulch.dohboi wrote:More on the above:
