I'm in my 70s and have no problem so why should men in their 20s be needing assistance?

Yep. It's doubtful that many of these rich folks have the broad skillset required to survive for long after they emerge from their gilded cages. Most of them got rich by specializing in things that will go POOF along with civilization.
