The Planet (tm) looks at all these threats to kill it and laughs and laughs having been here for billions of generations and still going strong. Snowball global glaciations couldn't do it, the PETM couldn't do it and puny humanity can't do it.

Mass extinction events are both rare and ineffective at making Earth dead. The overwhelming mass of biological life on this planet is microscopic, bacteria, germs, fungi. In every one of the "Mass Extinctions" which have taken place the primary dying was in the macroscopic multicellular organisms. But even in the worst case where it is estimated 95% of large species were wiped out within a million years the world was once again populated with large life forms and the whole time the microscopic life was barely effected.
