BMW "Tron lightcycle" gets 120 mpg

I would buy one of these. I'd probably get creamed by some soccer mom's SUV here in Texas though. I always thought the future of transportation, if there is to be any hi-tech transportation at all, would be small 1-2 person bike-cars and dirigibles.

Nothin' short of another truck helps in a crash w/ a truck. I'd rather have something like a fortwo, small, maneuverable, rigid safety cage, than a big tin can coffin. At least I'd have a better chance of getting out of the way.

That said, good to see you two perpetuating the bigger=safer myth! Gotta keep selling those big/flimsy SUVs/pickups. :-D

These leaner trikes have been kicking around for 30 years. Carver actually made some but VentureOne (now Persu) was incapable of converting it into a hybrid/electric. Mass producing any vehicle is hard to do. Vectrix is now bankrupt, for instance.

"Less than 2 litres per 100km/ less than 50g CO2 per 100km????
2 litres becomes 4kg of CO2 doesn't it?
Can anyone explain this gaping hole in the promo?

A little more than four, but anyway, 4000g/100km is about 40g/km.
