What the thread title says, four nifty videos at link below the quote!

Fireball zooms across Midwest sky, possibly landing in Lake Michigan
A fireball zoomed across the sky over Illinois and Wisconsin overnight. The trajectory of the fireball leads to an estimated landfall in northern Lake Michigan.

The fireball was seen around 2:25 a.m. Eastern Time, according to the American Meteor Society. So far there are 185 reports of the fireball.

Based on the sightings and trajectory of the fireball, the American Meteor Society has produced an animation showing the estimated location of impact with the earth. The location is in northern Lake Michigan, west of Frankfort, MI.

At this time there is no knowledge of what the object was that caused the fireball.

If you have pictures of the fireball, please post them below. If you have video of the fireball, please email it to [email protected].

If it changed direction before landing, then it's time to start worrying.
Given the track record of the perma-doomer blogs, I wouldn't bet a fast crash doomer's money on their predictions.

If it's aliens, the first thing folks should do is ask them for advice on how to build durable cars.
